To me front like my Moto X4 have.
Touching back means smuddling my ack camera with fingerprints as well.
Bottom is useless and dificult to use.
Inside the screen is as good as your screen is not cracked into the pieces.

Anonymous, 19 Aug 2018What's after in-display FPS? Hmm, I guess we'll all have car keys to unlock our phones. Before that, I think we will have fingerprint sensors on cars.

I doubt that fingerprint scanner is a future at all. They already have your fingerprints. They also have your mails, friends, date of birth, they know what you like and dislike, et cetera. Soon they will have your face scan. Later they will ask for blood and semen samples, "to unlock your phone".
You already became a slave of corporations, the question is just how many things are you ready to give them.
And yeah, you can call it conspiracy theory.

In display fingerprint would be nice, but not necessary. In display selfie camera is a other story that is really required to ditch the notch!

Zenodroid, 19 Aug 2018If they gets faster, yes. But for now, no. Faster? Can you seriously see the difference in 1/4 of a second response??
Even if it was 1 second delay it is still super fast and enough, most external sensors still don't unlock in 0.1 second, most of them take 1+ second to unlock, so...

Anyway, I would prefer it on the side (like with previous Sony phones), that way you can unlock the phone in any position (laying on the back/front, in the cradle in a car etc) without picking it up.
