Hah! Make a push for "camera innovation" with the P20P, but then resort to this? Lol. It's not like that A8 ad, where the pics are only promotional pics, this here is deliberately fooling people with the dude's hand that meant to look like an actual selfie from the phone

Its normal for most smartphones marketing strategy. Bad thing is, it leaks.

P/S: Look at all Sony Xperia Z/Z1/Z2/Z3 commercial ad regarding camera samples. Too good to be true lol.

Too good to be real, the image sensor on smartphones are still very small to capture that kind of light and still keeping it very sharp and having a high IQ.

Just as a reminder the GPU turbo which is just an advertisement & no unlocking of the boot loader. Me by they should lay off whole company? We certainly should.

As i've said the other day, in the Samsung and stock photo topic, every manufacturer is doing it. Some are caught, some aren't yet. You're paying a $1000 for a phone, and then you're trying to convince me and yourself how awesome your phone's camera is, showing me advertisement photos made with a DSLR and ran through PS.

All this tells is that Huawei's marketing team in Egypt needs to get replaced. One department in one locale doesn't represent the company as a whole. As far as scandals are concerned, i could dig up a few dozen for any company you'd like. None is too innocent. They're corporations, they're not meant to be good.

Well, how many of the potential Nova 3/3i buyers would come to know about this cheat marketing? I am sure very very few. And even fewer of those would change their minds and buy some other phone.
On the other hand, how many would consider buying the Nova 3/3i after seeing those amazing selfies apparently taken from the phones? That number would surely be much more.
So there you go, this kind of marketing is never going away.
