As tempting as it is to get this phone, as I have had the Honor 8 since launch..
They stopped sending updates to the Honor 8 way too quickly, the phone was left buggy and now feels very outdated in terms of Android etc.
Would worry Honor would just do the same with the honor 8x. Which would be a shame, as the honor 8 is still a great phone, but way overdue a needed Android update which will never arrive.

It's the same width that most 5.5inch/16:9 phone have. Now phones are just longer and have smaller bezels. It doesn't matter if the screen is 6.3 inch or something, you can still use them with one hand for most stuff. Just like every 5.5 inch phone 2 years ago.
Honor 8X, Honor Note 10 and Mi Max 3 are in very different, niche category that doesn't care about one hand ergonomy. Just compare their actual sizes with 6.0-6.4inch regular phones that are supposed to be very big (say, Galaxy Note9). I recommend https://mobiledevicesize.com/compare/

I guess nearly 60-70% of the ppl would prefer phone size b/w 5"-6", but every phone manufacturer are coming out with phones above 6", i don't understand why ppl would need such huge size phones.

That is one ugly hole on the top! At least they don't copy bad iPhone X design that leaves no space for notification icons.

Somethings don't seem to add up, considering the fact that Honor 7x was announced last year November with a 5.93-inch panel. The time for the successor is rather too early and a 7.12-inch panel for Honor 8x is likely too big. Maybe it's an entirely different device coming....my thoughts though...

Samsung and apple will continue to dominate until Huawei and Xiaomi both learn to add more LTE bands to their products. Can't sell cellphones unless they can actually get a connection.
As for the 8x its a big who cares. Can't unlock bootloader and worse non existing LTE support outside China and India.
