Anonymous, 19 Oct 2011they have finally learned how to use a real drawing board and not a photocopier. Apple copied the design of HP Compaq TC1000, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HP_Compaq_TC1100 , when the designed iPad rectangular with rounded corners and thin, so Somsung have learned but Apple still have not!
thanks for being the bigger person samsung!! so silly these patent wars
Just because a patent is infringed does not mean that samsung is liable to Apple. Apple has to prove the infringed patent is valid for Samsung to be liable. Honestly, most of Apple's, Samsung and others patents probably should never have been granted in the first place.
Anonymous, 19 Oct 2011they have finally learned how to use a real drawing board and not a photocopier. hahah bro love ur comment!!
Openly admitting, no matter indirectly or not, that their pass devices actually did infringed on Apple's patents just gives one more reason not to support such an unscrupulous company. They are even still blatanty trying to deny infringement in the courts up till today and can even sue Apple back, base on FRAND patents. How deceitful can they get?
Can't believe Google stuck with them for the new Nexus. Such a shame.
AnonD-14018, 19 Oct 2011This means they will be more carefull in the future as not to give apple any chance of lawsuit... moreIts good they are learning... But mate their past products do infringe on Apple's patents... Thats why some have been banned for now in some countries...
be ready for a lawsuit from nokia for copying nfc touch to share and facelock
now apple will probably claim that the notifications menu is theirs and they came up with it in ios5, even though this was already there since the first android phone :)
AnonD-20221, 19 Oct 2011This just means they accept their past top smartphones have been infringing on Apple's patents...This means they will be more carefull in the future as not to give apple any chance of lawsuit. Not even with tampered evidence.
Daniel, 19 Oct 2011Does Apple patented the black color ?No but it patented the iWhite and the iBlack
There was a photo leak of a "potential iPhone 5" design and it was pretty similliar to the Galaxy Nexus...
I don't really care about the whole "who copied who" thing... As long as they keep delivering good smartphones... For what it's worth I think Nexus' specs were pretty disappointing!!!
Every manufacturerd esigns phones by theyre own standards. Its inevitably that some get theyre ideeas from others . No1 knows for sure how and what patents they will infringe.
Apple hasnt sued other companies yet because they didnt pose an imediate threat in the market. But samsung being the biggest competitor it had to find a way to stop its momentum. But if HTC or Motorola will gain market share momentum be sure apple will undoubtedly sue those also .
Apple fails to deliver in the market and relies on iFans to sell ( it lost quite allot of market share because of that) and now is forced to resort to lawsuits to stop other companies from "stealing" market share.
Its a good move from samsung but theyre should have done this long ago to avoid all this fuss and bad publicity.
Samsung takes apple's, and others companies ideeas to the next level. But they should pay for that not just take it.
The new phone unlock seems to be in order to be safe from Apples patents. I think Apple had a patent about unlocking by sliding across a predefined guide. The new unlock which is just moving outside a circle is different from that.
they have finally learned how to use a real drawing board and not a photocopier.
Well, how can you make more genuine models when there is so much competition?
This just means they accept their past top smartphones have been infringing on Apple's patents...
