WP 7 was almost exact copy of previous version of iOS, including drawbacks. How possibly a very bad copy of one product may be an "alternative" in market competition terms?

btw i remember the days in F1 racings when several teams have used last year engines from leading Ferrari, Renault, Williams teams... yeah. They were very competitive... (sight) (*great sarcasm*) being closed with no more than 5 laps at the end of racing.

Even the Belle phones are really nice, nOkia 700 and 701.

Nokia is very much alive...and now the customers on the street will get new alternatives to apple and the buggt androids.

Nokia lost market share big time and in order take it back they need to figure out what people need, want and not getting from the other leading manufactures, it's not that hard, no one have done a good job of combining laptop and phone in one device, its either too small, too big, wrong OS or under power. Do you guys remember years back when Nokia had the (E9 Communicator)? apart from the low CPU speed, camera and screen resolution it's still the best full function phone ever made, the only real professional phone sold for over a thousand dollars in the US.

AnonD-13154, 20 Oct 2011Well i'm glad that nokia finally got over there nhd resolution limit with symbian phones. I... moreYou're kidding right? MeeGo Harmattan, i.e. Maemo 6 is 100% Nokia proprietary. The real MeeGo is a combination of Moblin and Maemo, and that's a joint effort from Intel and Nokia, respectively. BTW, MeeGo was an open source project, MeeGo Harmattan, closed.

Nokia can seriously mess up. Two of the greatest efforts, N900/Maemo 5 and N9/MeeGo, gone down the drain. And, NO, Elop is definitely not corrupt and a MS bot.
