Nothing special with these Nokia Windows Phones. They're just the same as those from HTC. They all look generic, boring, and ugly with that eccentric Metro UI.

Well i'm glad that nokia finally got over there nhd resolution limit with symbian phones.
I hate that they choosed the bad windows instead of developing meego and making an other android like open mobile os.
They even could have bought a major share in meego just like google did with android and nokia would have got another mobile os for their own.
then All those htc and samsung and sony ceo's would be queing in front of nokia for license and updates just as they are doing with google.
Bloody hell windows os in pc and phone?

Windows Phone 7 and 7.5 look same on HTC,Samsung,Nokia.So what is special? Android is same but HTC Sense makes it somewhat special similarly on Samsung with theie TouchWiz.So in that case if Nokia make it somewhat special then its gonna rock the party.What say gyes?

What we were all hoping for with Nokia is tha... moreNot to defend Nokia as Nokia died as a cell phone company (I still buy their headsets though as the Ice White BH905i ones I have are AWESOME but are expensive) the second they turned on MeeGo, but the HTC Hero has to be one of the ugliest designed devices to ever grace a cell phone. The Chin was NOT a good idea for a phone in any way.
Now on topic:
Nokia has some great designs but I'm not jumping to WP7 right now. Its just not my preferred OS but I'm sure there are those that do lean toward it and see promise in it.
I do know that it is a simpler smartphone solution than android (which also is not my preferred OS but unfortunately there's nothing else to choose from other than iOS (which also does not grab my attention much) which is why I am waiting for Tizen).
Q1 2012 is when the Tizen SDK comes out and I will be grabbing that and programming for it.

What we were all hoping for with Nokia is that they would somehow differentiate themselves from the market with either a) funky design b) better specs c) bespoke software(?)
It's just so uninspiring...
It reminds me of my white HTC Hero I had a few years ago (now that was a funky design!)
I just think it's too 'so-so' and is not going to get anyone excited...
You need the looks of the X8 (was it?) with the grilles and the colours to match..

I see Nokia plans is gain adepts and make they phones dirt-cheap and the can do it, in this range for that price is har to find something pretty good as this one...
