The design of the product where it can't fix the faulty component without breaking an used component at the customer's cost is not a liability of the customer!s Dont blame the customers for poor design and faulty component after taking ransom for the product.
I am not sure about the Samsung argument! Samsung paid 100% back for the faulty battery, they didn't offer the replacement. I am not interested in Apple or Samsung; I don't care about the reasons for faulty and poor designs contributing to bad customer experience. They can't blame the customer for that

There's also no logic in a company handing out free repairs that they are not responsible for. If a user has damaged their phone to a degree where the phone can't even be taken apart until the damage is repaired, it's the users own responsibility to do so. It's that simple. That you think companies should start handing out free stuff out of the goodness of their heart is frankly incredibly naive.
Why didn't Samsung give out free Note 8's to everyone affected by the Note 7 scandal? Samsung is a rich company. They can handle it right? It's not a part of the warranty terms, but that's not a problem is it? Are Samsung massive evil cheapskates for not doing so?

Apple isn't running on loses, isn't? Or your theory of a smaller number of batches and the smallest number of users having issue NEED NOT BE TRUE.
After Louis Rossmann explained how every iphone 6 successor have the same type of issues with motherboards bending and rendering the phone unusable. I think I hold on to my iPhone SE forever. There is no indication that Apple is trying to make their phones more durable anymore. Its sad day when iPhone SE stops receiving ios updates and I have to switch back to android phone that still has a headphone jack and a small screen.
Thats what you get for manufacturing the phone by low paid workers.
iPhones need to be manufactured either in the US or in Europe to make sure the highest possible quality standards are met. I would gladly pay $2000, $3000 or even $5000 for any premium quality phone that is 99.(9)% perfect. (no android devices as the OS is faulty to begin with. That just leaves iOS for now, but other high quality OSs migh be released in the future)
And yes, premium devices should not be affordable to everyone. Premium means premium and is for those who are willing to pay for the best of the best.

This warranty replacement is costing Apple money. Apple was most likely informed by their logic board supplier that they've detected a bad batch, after which Apple initiated the warranty replacement.
The amount of iPhone 8 users affected by this is an exceptionally small percentage. An even smaller percentage of those have damage to their phones which would impair the ability to replace the logic board. Just why do you think it's Apple's responsibility to replace user-damaged parts that are COMPLETELY UNRELATED TO THE WARRANTY?

Walter C. Dornez, 02 Sep 2018Huh, i see. Would use an LG phone for music player personally, but i respect thatI had LG phones. Specifically the curvy G flex 2. It was nice at the time, but I couldn't swap the rom. The rom manager of LG is one of the most annoying I've ever encountered. So I'd rather avoid having LG as my music player

It's about pre-existing user-inflicted damage to the phone that IMPAIRS Apple's ability to perform the warranty replacement. Such damage can be cracked glass or severe dents. It is NOT the same as having a dent in a car chassis when replacing an engine component.
My comparison is to highlight the ridiculousness of saying Apple should face the liability and financial risk of attempting a repair on devices that are unlikely survive the process. A cracked glass panel could mean removal of that panel breaks it, and makes it impossible for Apple to reassemble the device again. That's a liability, and not covered under warranty. That's something the user first needs to fix via a third party or negotiate with Apple before they can attempt the warranty replacement.
This isn't an alien concept. It works like this in literally ALL market fields. No company accepts liabilities they are not legally or contractually responsible to cover.
Bad hardware but good price.
Poor apple users.
No wonder how they became the biggest company in USA.

In this case:
1. The iPhone disn't "crash with a tree" (means it didn't suffer serious damage). Just a screen crack, and Apple should be correcting what they admitted they did wrong. A scratched screen doesn't mean the logic board cannot be changed without a screen replacement.
2. It would have been much more "logical" had you at least compared the "scratched mobile screen" with "a dent in the car" rather than "a car crashing with a tree", also the logic board defect, it can be better compared with an "engine failure" rather than a "stereo damage".
So correcting you a bit here, a car company WILL NOT DECLINE to repair an engine damage to the car, being a manufacturing defect that they accepted, just because there is a dent on the car. Instead a car company indistiguishably usually recall all their affected cars for the repairs, even if they are older. But had any car company had "sheeps" as Apple does, even they would have played these tactics.
The most problematic phone since first signal, battery, bend, tauch ghost, battery force lcd popup since early iphone 8 lunch

In the exact same way, you can't expect Apple to fix faults with the device that YOU are responsible for, and which makes the warranty repair impossible without causing further damage.
Customers also can't take legal action against Apple. The fault affects a small number of customers in a small part of the world, and is being handled according to the warranty terms. Apple didn't knowingly fit a batch of faulty logic boards to a small number of devices. And Apple is already fulfilling their legal duties of replacing the faulty part under warranty.
