        That Note device looks gorgeous.

Bixby on the other hand.... For that matter, all AI assistants to a degree, seems like an half-baked answer to a question no one asked.

          Big sale everyone. Samsungs auction.
Samsung is selling a button. The highest bid will bring a winner :)))
In this case it will be a couple of winners. Maybe the first 3 or 5 bidders.
Samsung is selling. Let's see who is buying.

Man I hate this Bixby sht so much!
At least I've managed to turn the button off, but I still press it almost all the time when I actually want to press volume down.
They should give us the chance to remap it to something else like opening the camera like Sony phones have their dedicated camera button.
Hell, I even wanted to go to Samsung Service and ask them to take the button out or render it unusable.
It's almost 3 weeks with the S8+ and no root. I dunno how much longer I can go without it.
Using an android in guest mode (no root) is almost like downgrading from an android flagship to a lame iPhone.

Realistic1, 05 Sep 2018I also agree with others saying it should have been like that at a first place. I still nev... moreUh.. Bixby is here to stay.. That button is still for Bixby. Sure there are apps that dismiss Bixby and do other actions.. but STILL its dedicated to bixby.

This only mean they have Bixby API open to developers.. So Bixby can understand them.

So.. you should still be sad :)

Samsung doesnt make sense so Bixby doesnt make sense at all.

I also agree with others saying it should have been like that at a first place.

I still never used any virtual assistant, and never will. And having a button dedicated just for that simply sucks. They fixed fingerprint scanner position, added stereo speakers... yet they still won't allow people to reprogram bixby button for something else... they took bloatware to whole new level.

Should have been like this in the first place imo. Might make me want to mess around with bixby before the update comes.

Any attempt to block or disable whatever feature that could be tailored to a specific need of the particular user should be dealt with identical tactics of its initiator.

Samsung need to pull the plug on Bixby. It's a massive flop. Nobody really wants it. It would put me off buying another Samsung.
