Actually I like the 710 better. Hate the sharp corners of the 800. Too bad 710 does not have the Amoled display. Oh, and BTW, I hate that concave screen of the 800 too.

hihi... "Interestingly, the only differences between both devices are the camera and the storage space and the display technology yet Nokia charges €150 more."

And what is the difference between iPhone 8GB and iPhone 32GB and what was the price difference :P? At least we know how much money you need for memory card while we have no idea about screen and camera prices...

eagle3, 26 Oct 2011Yup, that's what the Nokia Europe site says too http://europe.nokia.com/find-products/devices... more"Memory

Total user memory

8 GB mass memory (no slot for micro-SD cards)"

http://www.nokia.co.uk/gb-en/products/phone/lumia710/specifications/

So does it have or not?!?!?!

Apart from the differences mentioned here ... the main difference is the memory which is why the price difference of 150. Nokia 800 is a 16gb device and nokia 710 is a 8 gb device .... donno how come u guys did not notice it and talk about the difference right away.

Memory and camera is different and it justifies the higher price tag for nokia 800

Wastedsoul, 26 Oct 2011@viva, r u insane??? india is a developing country, still nokia x6 was a huge hit in ind... moreX6 is basically a music phone and 16GB is ample already for its intended purpose. And Symbian supports mass storage mode so transferring of files is easy unlike Windows Phone which is fully dependent on Zune to upload contents onto the device just like iOS' iTunes dependency.

Well... I think the L800 looks very nice actually...
It's simple, classy and colourful!
I did like the (900?) Meego design, which is obviously the same here...
But as that's such a niche / limited product, design overlap is fine...
Actually you know..
Ramp those specs up a bit (give me dual core and more importantly expandable memory) and SAMOLED (can't live without that now) and a 4.x screen...
And I may give it a whirl one day! My GS2 will have had its day by the end of next year, hopefully there'll be even more choice for us all by then!

Oh joy of joys. Nokia have now subscribed to the english dictionary approved by Jobs...

Progress: going back to where we were 3 years ago. Not to mention rabid controls on what you can do with the limited windows CE based rotten fruit OS

Security: handing all your information to others and taking over control of you property

Feature-rich: touting stuff Symbian had in 2004 as 'new & fantastic' and accidentally deleting all the features that still make it the worlds favourite smartphone OS (excepting Americans and other people with the charisma of a table).

Well done Nokia... Other suicides do it with shotguns, ropes, knives and assorted other ephemera. But not for you eh Nokia, no you picked the goldplated hand decorated nuclear bomb buttplug... You cant even commit commercial suicide tastefully.

Security is just starting to become important in the consumer (in-duh-vidual) space and you go and pick a new OS that is to security what parking a 2CV over a landmine is to common sense.

But its still not too late... Ditch Elop... Reinvigorate Meego & Symbian... Nokia for the win.

Viva la Vida, 26 Oct 2011Windows Phone doesn't support memory card slot. It is a locked down environment just like iOS.It most certainly does, albeit in a limited manner - the Samsung Focus had an microSD card slot.

Are you saying Nokia made a mistake? Will the phone ship with a useless microSD card slot that doesn't function?
