Eksa, 12 Sep 2018I switched from samsung note series to mate 10 pro because of curved screen. If mate 20 pro co... moreLots of people are not put off by it, otherwise Samsung and Huawei wouldn't be the 1st and 2nd biggest smartphone manufacturers in the world respectively.
I switched from samsung note series to mate 10 pro because of curved screen. If mate 20 pro comes with curved screen i will buy oneplus 6. Who wants curved screen?
curve screen + notch = no, thanks
PeterThePanda, 11 Sep 2018So there's a chance that the P30 Pro will also have curved screen? Considering that the P seri... moreHuawei P series always imitate latest iphone design. So u get the idea when next iphone XS comes out later.
Mate series on the other hand, signature their own centric design.
So there's a chance that the P30 Pro will also have curved screen? Considering that the P series usually takes some features from the Mate Series, I wouldn't be surprised if the P30 and P30 Pro will have an OLED screen and 3D face unlock, with the P30 Pro having a curved OLED screen.
BigDisplay, 10 Sep 2018Edge display cmon Huawei, even the notch i like better, but edge display...The edge display is a brilliant idea and a very practical feature as well. On the other hand the notch is just that. A notch. There's nothing practical about it.
Baykko, 10 Sep 2018Everyone complains about the notch but nobody gives a reason as to why they hate it. If the no... moreI like Huawei and I was looking forward to upgrade from my current dependable P9 to the new P20. That was until I saw the notch.
My valid reason is the frustrating waste of symmetrical space. There is no practical benefit in using the notch. Samsung did the reasonable thing by sticking to practical and unobtrusive design. Not even Apple knows how to aesthetically fill the two small spaces either side of the notch, revealing the truth about rounded corners with flat UI design. It's a designer's nightmare. But Apple's choice also revealed people buy out of worship or for status, fake or "real".
Why must every brand producing a decent Android alternative to Apple mimic the fugly notch? I hope I'm not breaking the Posting rules by saying I absolutely hate that thing and I hope to God that every smartphone with "ze notch" will die of a catastrophic failure of its screen whereby its pixels would die one by one every minute until the user flushes that ungodly broken thing down the toilet.
ollyb1, 10 Sep 2018I can live with the notch but I don't really like the curve screensame here
Everyone complains about the notch but nobody gives a reason as to why they hate it. If the notch couldn't be hidden you could argue it is a matter of tastes, but since it can be hidden and no one else has stated a valid reason I will assume you're all Iphone / Samsung fan boys that Simply hate Huawei for becoming a relevant contender for first place.
Anonymous, 10 Sep 2018Aw shut up.. so annoying, complaining about notch everytime.. buy other phone. Notch will sta... moreBravo...
BigDisplay, 10 Sep 2018Edge display cmon Huawei, even the notch i like better, but edge display...Hopefully it's like the LG V30 curve which had a bezel underneath or plastic, which made the curves kinda durable
My question is, if the regular Mate 20 has a 4200 mAh battery, how much bigger will the battery be in the 20 Pro? Also, EMUI needs to be simpler to use. Huawei needs to address this and cut down the number of settings menus to make things easier to find. They need to add in common sense features that are found on other phones, but are missing from theirs.
