This is terrible news!!
Ericsson always had the technological side of things down, Who discovered Bluetooth?, Sony is just a well known brand name.
Ericsson have always made good phones back in the day, and are the only reason I still buy SE today (because of the Ericsson link).
Sony products (TV's etc) are poorly made and over priced. Sony to me means tacky. Their products are expensive, but cheaply made.
Time to jump ship to another brand (Not Apple thou).

My first phone is Sony. I was so disappointed when Sony had a partnership with Ericsson back then considering my Sony phone is way superior than Ericsson models (back then). Now that it is Sony alone my brand loyalty is not halved with other brand. Only problem now is I am also a Google (Motorola) fan. Well its Sony vs Motorola for my next phones! ;-)

Sony not buying Ericsson, they just buyout their part in joint venture called SonyEricsson, which is a lot different. I don`t think Sony have the money to buy Ericsson which is company with $30 billion a year revenue.

Only Sony.. No mobile at the back no like samsung mobile..
Sony been making quality products for a while now.. Especially their LCD technology.. S-LCD is created by Sony and Samsung but HTC use it..
Thats weird.. A creator should use their creation.. Sony should fully utilise this oppurtunity..
Sony Alpha DSLR on a Handphone will be SuperB AWESOME!

I must say that its been a nice journey last ten years with Sony Ericsson. Hope that Sony will keep the exciting spirit of SE and continue with even better portfolio.

it will not good sound sony or ericsson if sony is the owner of both then ...it will be better if name is unchanged it remain same sony ericsson....
