[deleted post]I am aware that Samsung is the biggest manufacturer of AMOLEDs but that has nothing to do with what I'm pointing out. What I'm pointing out was the colors on Super AMOLEDs are over saturated to make things look good. Yes, it does look good but it's not accurate and does not represent the true color of whatever is on the screen. Samsung oversaturated Super AMOLED on purpose to make things look better and that's their gimmick and people falls for it and calls it the best display on the market.
Btw, Nokia owns the CBD tech and Samsung only manufactures them and that doesn't mean that Samsung owns the tech. Nokia CBD is superior to Super AMOLED and shows colors more naturally. This case is similar to how TSMC makes the Tegra SOCs; TSMC only manufactures them but the SOCs are Nvidia's. We don't call Tegra chips properties of TSMC but Nvidia's.
Samsung fans loves to take credit for everything their beloved company manufactures but they are wrong.

Samsung Galaxy S 2 = Everything . Its a mobile phone ,tablet,tv,laptop,pc,psp,fm radio,gps navigater,good point and shoot camera,HD cam corder,flash light ,video conferencing device,pendrive,mp3 player and i cant remember other things right now however know that u guy will help and dispite having all those gadgets in one gadget it fits in ur pocket being very light waighted and affordable for comman man too. and is sensable choice if u want mobility and i guess everybody wants to be mobile now a days and people are becoming more gadget knowledgable these days they know what they need So these results are very obvious for Samsung that they gave Masterpiece SGS2 to the world which has Everything in it ,Samsung Rocks.

What you forget is, that the SGS for instance, that the basis of the phone is the same with a few tweeks here and there for the individual carrier. They get different names so are classified as a different phone. I guess you could say the same about Apple. They are currently selling a minimum of 5 Phones - GSM: 3GS and 4, CDMA: 3GS and 4, and 4S. Plus any other modified versions. Only thing is they are all called "The iPhone".
Nothing wrong with tweeking a 'flagship' to suit the market. They still sell.

All this... moresamsung and android is on the rise don't hate it embrace it and that does not mean that apple phones suck i like their phones especially their hd games but android is also making a move to the gaming community also so don't be a fanboy just buy the phone you like and not the brand.

Comp... moreI wasn't talking about AMOLED screens in general, I was singling out Samsung's Super AMOLED. Compare that to Nokia CBD which is also AMOLED and you'll see that the colors are exaggerated. Every screen reviews, even the one here on GSMArena pointed that out.

Compared to a backlit LCD it might LOOK over saturated,but as a photographer I'd have to say the display on my year and a bit old Galaxy S gives better rendition of colours than my £1000 Canon SLR does.

i think one of the reasons why iphones are more expensive than other smartphones is because they have to buy the materials from sony and samsung while other manufacturers produce their own. And the figures mentioned above excluded the profits samsung acquired by selling it's chips to apple and apple's lesser profits when they subtract the cost of buying those chips and the sony camera sensor..btw, apple is good in having those numbers the fact that they only have 2 kinds of phones for competition right now compared to samsung's different ranges of bada and androids..

Have you even bothered to look at the galaxy s11 ? It is a far superior phone in everyway and you can even send blutooth files to people, isnt that amazing? Their profits for the company as a whole has shrunk. They are making a lot more money and profits if you just look at their mobile division. Stop reading half the article or filtering stuff that you don't want to hear out..
