Looking forward to the 9!
I really hope there is 'no curved front sides' and that the back is not smooth glass . . anything else to help thwart grease marks like a matt finish or just metal would be great.
Attention to detail wins the race.
Is that an on screen fingerprint sensor that I'm seeing on the Nokia 9 screen? Very nice.

I've seen their oleds and they're gorgeous!
Imo they're somewhat on par with Samsung but the latter has more advertising/acceptance.
Also, Samsung's amoled screens for their A and J line aren't as good as the S line. So it's a matter of the tier of the display.
It's my subjective opinion though, as objective tests show otherwise, but still, LG's isn't that bad to be second place... maybe 1.5?
way to go
Lccy, 14 Sep 2018That looks like curved edges on the Nokia 9 front panel :(
I wish manufacturers wouldn't al... moreNotches and curves are a bit annoying.
Thing is, they made the notch hidden with software, but I haven't seen any software fix where you could disable the edge (at least when viewing photos) so I get what you mean.
I could live with notches and curved edges as long as I get to modify their behavior

That looks like curved edges on the Nokia 9 front panel :(
I wish manufacturers wouldn't all follow the stupid trend of curved edge displays, I had the distortion and that's the only thing stopping me from buying the Samsung's

Second, the only chip Nokia can use is the SD845, as the 855 hasn't come out yet. There is no other choice, and all flagships now besides Apple, Samsung, and Huawei use it. If this comes out at the same time as the OnePlus 6T, then will you be saying that chip is too old?
And if you're bored by stock Android, then Nokia is the completely wrong brand you're looking at. The rest of us appreciate the cleanliness and ease of use. If you want a bloated software experience, go out and get a Huawei or Samsung phone.
thank you for avoiding the notch!
Looks like M9 had under screen fingerprint reader ;-)
Just add led notification light too please.

These phones have close to nothing with Nokia to do.Do you refer to OnePlus/Oppo/Vivo phones as OnePlus, Oppo & Vivo respectively or as BBK Electronics? I'm sure you call them by their respective names.
Same way, you should refer to Nokia as Nokia and not HMD Global. I hope my point is crystal clear.

Nice modern design without stupid trendy features like the notch. Definitely seems good. Hopefully it will have a 3.5mm jack as well.
Don Hrle, 14 Sep 2018Kudos to Nokia for not jumping on notch frenzy of 2018.HMD Global*

When this comes out it will come with almost a year old chip, horrible LG display and boring stock Android. Yuck. No thanks.
So long as you include headphone jack and microsd slot as STANDARD we will be fine.
