Dilmeet, 18 Sep 2018Apple is indeed smart in making people pay for it's ecosystem. Sadly, Android lacks this! Not ... moreFinally someone that gets it.
Funny thing is Samsung has the most ability (and Huawei with time) to build an ecosystem and have fallen short. They make every thing from phones to ships.
The Apple ecosystem has no rival and that's why their products cost that much. It's akin to the Sony tax (Sony products are priced higher than competitors in every category they're in).
Nickisan, 19 Sep 2018Really?? Been using mobile phones since the early nineties, witnessed the evolution from close... moreReally? Send me a small file over bluetooth or big files viz movie, videos, data over otg through cross platform sharing. Lol.. still stoneage tech iTunes dependency just like the early 90's n 2000 mobile pc suite.
Droids just need to plug in usb/wireless connectivity.
Apple still keeps iFans locked down in their iOS penitentiary in the name of eco system. But no access outside..lol. u need to wake up from ur iSlave dreamland!
Apple was in its pinnacle for 3 years since inception for actually being innovative. Then Android surpassed iOS back in 2012 itself with regard to features, functionalities, customization and user experience. All apple had was fast cpu which they went on to sell as USP for a decade while degraded in innovating real world feature and funcionality R&D.
For the past few years droids are lot snappier(oneplus, galaxy S&N...) over ips, on top of offering lot more usability.
Look at them after a decade..premature battery yet iFans cry its optimzed and don't need more. Fine then you ought to charge multiple times a day(never seen a normal/heavy iOS user without powerbanks), but no fast/wireless qc as well to which iFans cry they don't need coz it kills battery(as brainwashed by apple)all the while apple been secretly slowing down older phones and users ended up replacing bloated batteries/forced to upgrade to new iphones.
U guys still dream of multi window, split screen and many more to which you will cry u dont need em.
Sad fact is apple user's claim they content with watever they are provided and that they don't need those features or new tech from droid.
But you never had the luck of having experienced any of the latest innovations, how do you give the verdict of them being gimmicky/unnecessary?
And then you guys call its apple innovation wen they finally figure out to implement smth at the cost of removing existing features. Dual sim, ip 68, bigger screen, slowly catching up on resolution and ppi, supporting but not yet providing fast/wireless qc...etc
I didn't even bring up the price factor compensating with one fourth its offerings for four times its worth.

Great pocket device which replaces many of your different products.
Overall, this does not paint a positive outlook. To sum up in one word: "meh.."
Techradar is poor and out of touch, as expected.
I am sure Apple hit and miss with a price and basic upgrades it offers for that price. Charging as much as for serious laptop price would raise questions, for what are you really paying for? Just to make Apple rich, I don't think should be consumers concern, unless you really love to get overpriced things and brag about it
[deleted post]Next iphone version, "Which do you like better, new iphone or a car?."
good job on putting Buzzfeed's comment to the last. i hate Apple but we could, at least, enlighten the sheeps.
ProJames, 18 Sep 2018Malware from the Play Store are so obvious.
4-... moreI see what you want to say. But I don't really know hoe to do that, I don't know about rooting, what ROM is, how to put it... I would just mess something up... even worse if I need my computer for that. My computer is crap, and some ports aren't working anymore so I use USB keyboard and USB mouse, so I can't even plug in anything (like USB stick) without plugging out my mouse or keyboard...
So there Apple comes into game. I just need a phone which will do basic tasks without lag (4 apps that I use respectivley - Instagram, Whatsapp, Snapchat and YouTube). It's not important to me to have the latest and best camera, but it's nice if I can use my phone with 1 hand (compact phone). Which means that iPhone SE is almoust perfect phone to me since only thing that I don't like about it is lack of waterproofing (IP certification). Updates on time are just a nice bonus.
ProJames, 19 Sep 2018Key word is "seems". How is battery degradation? That's a value that can be found easily with ... moreWhat else do we need!
He has an over 2 year old phone, has been fully charging his phone almost everyday with the amazing Dash charge inside 70 minutes, and till today the battery performance has not degraded. Though I am talking about real life usage, rather than some numbers in an app.
Just like in case on benchmark scores, we should better believe in actual performance that we experience, rather than those scores in Apps.

Winners are Apple and users. Users gets amazing devices and Apple get paid ... moreAlso..apple user's are blind and delusional.
Sure, you win with 750p 300ppi on 6.1" lcd, single cam and other drawback for 1000$! Lol

Winners are Apple and users. Users gets amazing devices and Apple get paid for making these amazing devices.
Look at all these sour comments. I'm fine giving money to apple.
And like always, the winner is Apple for robbing consumers in bright daylight with their exorbitant prices and the losers are the consumers, who despite crying about wage disparity and how the rich keeps getting richer, decide to forgo paying rent or mortgage so they can get a new phone only to replace it a year or two later.
Walter C. Dornez, 18 Sep 2018And increasing the amperes would degrade the battery?Yeah, higher amperage means higher current intensity (more energy at the same time, while voltage is the speed of the current, it's more complicated than that, its just a big simplification) thus more pressure to the battery which degrades it.
A little bit like a highway. Have more cars and trucs on it, the road will start having potholes if the road isn't built to whitstand that capacity, such as higher quality materials, more lanes (bigger batteries, such as car batteries) or a service road (dual battery system). If you just have cars and trucs speeding instead of more, no problem.
Anonymous, 18 Sep 2018Don't spread wrong information. Chinese companies quick charging such as Vooc, Dash or Huawei ... moreThat's not false information. We are talking about fast charging in ONE battery. Not all phones from companies you mentioned have two batteries. So what happens on the other phones?

I had two S7 over a period of one year. One with FC, one without. The value difference was minimal.
