WOW, I'M Waiting For That
Anonymous, 20 Sep 2018Is it wise to invest in a 4g phone now, considering 5g will be implemented by Jio in early 2019? Yes. Jio is only buying spectrum in 2019. They'll take a while to implement it all over India. Jio bought 2300MHz frequency in 2010, and started 4g officially in 2016(free with purchase of a Jio smartphone). So expect stable 5G in India in 2021. You still have 3 years for 4G. By that time, many phones will be released which support all Indian 4G and 5G bands. So it's best to wait right now. Buying a 4G phone now is still a good idea.

I mean technology wi... moreyeah, removing the earphone jack without adding IP rating, bigger battery and stereo speakers features is bullshit move by oneplus. Same with putting rear glass back without adding Qi-wireless charging feature. Btw it's too early to say this, but let see...
I would love to see this Flagskiller compare with Flagskiller " Killer" ....

Plus,
Phone sizes are getting larger to hold
The practicality of not having to reach out to the back of the phone - doesn't suit you ?
It's a one touch one finger function - not having to turn the phone around or sideways.

I bet Amitabh Bachchan uses iPhone in real life. lol
OnePlus: 60% of our users have wireless headphones so we'll take away the headphone jack.
Other 40% of OnePlus Users: Okay, your sales figures just dropped 40%. I'm sure that's not a big deal though.
I don't understand why in-display fingerprint scanner is such a big deal. I mean technology wise it is great, but what are the real world benefits?
First, since it is optical in nature, it is slower than the standalone fp scanner.
Second, standalone fp scanner is cheaper to implement.
Third, we lost the headphone jack with the 6T, which was a far more useful feature.
Fourth, this also has dual rear cameras as seen in advertisement video, unlike the rumors which assumed that it will have a 3rd ToF camera.
Lastly, it will have the same SD845 processor and 8 GB RAM.
I would rather live with a hide-able notch than with a phone which has no headphone jack and brings nothing additional to the table for removing it. I would forgive OP6T if they remove the jack and bring stereo speakers, IP rating and bigger battery.
This phone will not sell better due to lack of headphone jack
Peter UK, 20 Sep 2018Remember that time when OnePlus was soo good it needed no advertising and we all still knew ab... moreYeah, but they also had like 1/10th the sales numbers.
