AnonD-13315, 01 Nov 2011To say that is complete ignorance of what Steve Jobs has done for Apple and also it's customer... moreNot sure that I agree with you.

HTC were making "smart phones" long before apple entered the equation.

The HTC Athena, for example, was vastly superior to the first iPhone.

Personally, i have always admired HTC for taking risks- they had a phone that could dual boot windows mobile and Vista, again, long before the iPhone existed, granted it didn't sell very well...

That said, Apple managed to convince people that they really wanted phones that could do things that phones had been able to do for years. So yes, in that respect HTC should be grateful

Don't comment Apple coz they launch one mobile per year and they depend on that unlike other companies where they have different products at different prices. Personally I feel HTC is better than all for their innovative designs, truly quitely brilliant

MdN, 01 Nov 2011You make it sound like it's a good thing. It's not a good thing, its a sad thing. I grew up with Nokia, every phone they put out was like the iPhone, everyone waited , and it was a sell out each time. You think I want them to disappear ? No But look at what is happening , they will go sooner or later. bB went down like a brick. Remember Palm, they were the first , although some say it was Apple Newton, but look at Palm , I bleed for them, as they had given us so many magical moments, so many.

without Samsung, Apple can just find other manufacturers for parts. Or, they'll just make their own parts. After all, they do one thing really well, distorting reality.
