i think the truth is.. Nokia realize that they can't beat android, iOS, and RIM (blackbeerry os) only with Belle. So thats why they need more focused to on wp7 phone (lumia).

Nokia is on a Killing Spree... First Symbian OS then Nokia 600 Handset... Remember if Windows 7 doesnt succeed Microsoft will live on with PC software but Nokia is GONE.. KILLED....

For me it is clear how the microsoft influence on all those moves, actually Symbian is not the bad haters says, but I say Elop is there to push windows phone software for microsoft not to help Nokia.

Anonymous, 02 Nov 2011no at the end, only company that makes high ratio profits will survive, not the company sells ... moreHigh ratio you say?

I majority of the market is still in within the middle income section. and we all know nokia rules low end to middle section. so whatsmor ehigh ratio than that?

if you rule the section of the market with the most number of buying consumers, you will end on top. and thats the bottomline.

thats why they are still on top. they may have lost the high end market to samsung or iphone. but only a small percentage of the population of the planet can really afford $400 +++ cellhphones.

and samsung, htc and iphone even LG are all slugging it out in the high end bracket dividing within themselves a small portion of the market. which again is not much to begin with.

while nokia sits comfortably in the middle-low end with little resistance due to their user friendly phones, nice hardware and worldwide familiarity with the nokia brand.
