It is about time! Got my Gingerbread today, and, if LG delivers ICS by the first half of the next year, I might even consider getting another one of their smartphones as my next phone as well, given their excellent hardware... Keep it up LG!

Next year again an update?(the gingerbread has not arrived in my country even with the anounced dates)...rumors...?they said it and removed from facbook because of a lot bad feedback including mine...

I was shocked to hear that this phone won't get the 2.3.x and the 4.0 OSs. Got it and im quite impressed with the building quality and features.
Hope they'll release ICS as soon as the other companies do. That's the only way they'll wash out the black spot on their name, given the circumstances.

i've got the lg optimus 2x and the gingerbread update woes suposed to came out monday 31.10 and today it's 2.11 and when i try to update my phone it says that my current softwere wersion is th newest out PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME. does that have sometning to do that i live in slovenia? does enybody have the same problem? please help me!!!!!!

Hahaha i knew it. I KNEW IT ! Hahaha in your face android haters. finnaly i can buy a decent all around phone which is cheap and has dual core and gyro and hdmi and usb on the go and camera flash and flash 10, and and and..i'm so happy.

Seriously LG has got great hardware, but the business orientation for their services towards products sucks to the maximun.
I love my Optimus 2X, but the software updates to Gingerbread update in July are all lies and deceptions, they dont live up to expectations for the promises on the updates. I am tired of waiting and I believe many android enthusiast feel the same.
I live in Malaysia and US , I found the service extremely sucks on the updates, I can't believe the chinese android phone manufacturer are way better off than LG phone on the updates.
This is my first and the last LG phone, I am going to jump ship to either Samsung or Sony Ericsson.

I'm supposed to buy a new phone and now 2X becomes a frontrunner in my eyes. But I'm gonna wait to hear their announcement about when ICS is coming exactly.
