Android is crappy for two main reasons:
- they accepted custom UI's on it( TouchWizz for example is horrible )
- too fragmented: 3.3", 3.5", 3.7", 3.8", 4", 4.2", 4.3",4.5", 4.7", 5", 5.3", 7", 7.7", 8.9", 10.1" and now, smaller Motorola Xoom 2 has 8.2" ... wtf?!

Anonymous, 03 Nov 2011lets face it...WP will never beat android and ios..you should mention precisely that only WP7 will not beat android and ios. in fact, the actual windows phones do not support dual cores, 1080p recording, etc and this the main reason why some persons are not interested with them. however wp8(multi cores) will be another story and no one can really predict what impact the future versions of windows phone will have on the market shares. for now, just observe the release of new wp7 phones from nokia, samsung and htc. if the worldwide market share of wp7 is on a significant increase by the end of this year, then windows phone could represent a danger for ios and android in 2012.

No surprises there then the 2 best operating systems by miles in the lead with the un uselable blackeberry in 3rd and poor old defunked windows 7 pulling up the rear.Goes to show android appeals to all people and there pockets big and small.Well done the mighty droid and well done ios.

But a coin has two sides
Remember, Apple is 1 Company with only 1 phone per year and is selling so much that Android took this year to overtake it.
Whereas Android, had Samsung, HTC, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, LG in order to overtake only 1 Phone which is the iPhone.
If Nokia could reflect the success of iPhone, it is possible they could strike hard. But so far, they need something big to achieve it.

It... morei am very intelligent and i am making sales statistics every day at my office at orange. i know better than my superiors what is selling and what is not. all want iphone,samsung galaxy both generations,htc and software speaking all want apple for siplicity and android because,,,they know froma afriend who bought android is very good. as i told you, people are like sheeps and no one is ready to try anything new on his skin. android is a trend like apple os and symbian,wm and nokia are not accepted for those who buy now top smartphones. at nokia only c7 is a bestseller but this is because it is very cheap. nokia is not wanted and for this reason apps developers and mobile networks moved the focus on android,apple os, samsung and apple. we want to make sales and rise salaries, not sustain like stupids nokia. in my opinion nokia is good now only to make a challange, but not to buy. by the way, nokia n9 is a mess: software is freezing, display won't take commands, video is very poor at details because of low bitrate and photo at low light is very darken despite of the camera specs. is very bad compared with nokia n8 even with samsung galaxy s2 wich have iso 800 setting very efficient. this is what i make everyday: testing tens of terminals at orange and i know many things to explain in a few words here. nokia with windows is a sale failure and a marketing desaster,but all is a part of a big evil plan

It... moreThere is nothing like huge boost to wp7 from nokia..samsung has already proven that they can produce much better product than nokia and people are also conviced of that,.in fact there is nothing better than a boost getting from samsung for wp7 now.evethough look at the results,possibly it is not goona make a big difference in next year too.
next year when you reazlize this fact ,i will be seeing your nick name as "Android fanboy PRO" ha ha ha

Then iPhone with iOS
Then Google with Android
Will Nokia again lead with WP8?
It will be hard,
Sony Ericsson which is now Sony will never support WP7 as microsoft is their competitor.
Motorola is now Google, so no WP7 support.
HTC, Samsung, LG can help WP7, but not that much.
Finally the only hope is Nokia, unfortunately, WP is bound to stay in 3rd or 2nd position.

spikey, 03 Nov 2011Is there a reason why ordinary people such as yourselves are siding themselves with and defend... moreu rite, lately it has been very AMD vs Intel between Nokia and Samsung fanbois, and between Androind and iOs fanbois as well. The next battle will be fought (verbally) between WP and Android. Why cant we just admit that both of them are bad? Almost a year i used android and it has amazed me all the time, everytime i thought it cud not get worse then it got worse. And WP? No secret that it sux, look at the market losses the last years, clearly ppl hate it, and buyers regret after short time. And ios, so restricted, so nazi.
Meego is the only OS that can stand up on its own, true opensource unlike the google-controlled android, and meego has the ultimate in geek factor, but nokia dont wanna release a good unit with meego.
Lessor of the 3 evils? Android, i have no choice.

My secondary fone just gave up, so i started using a low end colored lcd samsung that i got for free last time i bought a 32GB microSD card, and the thing is actually better than low end nokia. impressive signal on a lonesome highway i pass often, and battery life is amazing, nokia 1208 isnt nearly as good, even the keypad is better on the samsung. Nokia cant even win on the low end anymore, its alarming, i am sure Elop is trying to kill nokia, this is not an accident, its not possible to mismanage a company this much, it has to be deliberate
