Surprised that everybody is accepting this triple camera marketing... It is not a triple camera setup! There are two cameras (normal and wide angle) and a depth sensor! The depth sensor does nothing other than helping out for "portrait mode" shots. It is actually useless if you don't enable portrait mode. And normally a dual camera setup can do decent portrait mode on its own because one camera acts as a depth sensor. So this third "camera" depth sensor is just there for marketing to tell you it has triple cameras on the back! Silly from Samsung to do that and disappointing no one is calling them out...
Please Samsung, move cameras back to the middle. On the side the phone becomes unstable and when taking pics and videos, the fingers get on the way of the cameras easily and can mess up that one important
Air, 30 Sep 2018Same question bugging my brain... No Full Samsung Pay and no Type-C = Not buying anymore ! P... morei have a7 2017 and its IP68 rating also and new device have also heat issue also and its for normal use only not for gaming it will drain battery and heat also processor also cheap now
Whackcar, 30 Sep 2018The real reason why some companies are putting Micro-USB on mid-range phones is because most p... moreNope! The cable is always included everytime you buy a new phone. So why keep the old cable when you have a new one?
Three lenses and micro USB together in one device is ridiculous. I would prefer USB C instead of this market trick with a tripple camera. The race with the number of lenses can make impression only on teens not adults. Samsung is in its models going backwards.
Although USB C is better, not getting a phone just due to try micro USB is DUMB!!! In most cases you get same speed and charging speed..
Mr. Electronics, 30 Sep 2018I don't have anything with micro USB anymore. My phone, portable charger, earbuds, laptop, eve... moreSame question bugging my brain...
No Full Samsung Pay and no Type-C = Not buying anymore !
PS: A7 2017 user
Whackcar, 30 Sep 2018The real reason why some companies are putting Micro-USB on mid-range phones is because most p... moreNope. The real reason is the connectors are being sold far cheaper than the USB-C counterparts, and price does matter in that segment (ie. a few cents are the difference between turning a profit, think of the number of units sold and to how much that amounts to).
Anonymous, 30 Sep 2018Thumbs down for me using micro USB Once you switch to USB type C you wouldn't want to go back to Micro USB.
USB type C, easy to use as can plug in both way, faster data transfer & faster charging, more durable as difficult to accidentally bend the connectors.
Whackcar, 30 Sep 2018The real reason why some companies are putting Micro-USB on mid-range phones is because most p... morei disagree with the statement of sharing of cable, as cable itself doesn't last long (most only last less than a year), so no point sharing cable.
2018 Q3 phone still using Micro USB 2 is simply not acceptable, i mean even cheap phone like Xiaomi MiA1 is using USB type C.
The real reason why some companies are putting Micro-USB on mid-range phones is because most people who buy mid-range phones have previously also bought mid-range phones, which also had Micro-USB, so for them it is better to have the same port for better familiarity & compatibility (being able to share cables between devices). In time, the Micro-USB will get replaced with USB-C for most mid-range phones, but even then low-end phones will continue to have Micro-USB for the same purpose.
Anonymous, 30 Sep 2018That USB C tongue looks fragile.USB-C is developed by the same companies that developed USB-B micro. They say USB-C is 3x more durable than USB-B micro.
Anonymous, 30 Sep 2018That USB C tongue looks fragile. It's not. And the disappointment for samsung not going with the usb-c this time around is well-founded.
Anonymous, 30 Sep 2018That USB C tongue looks fragile.it really is, that's the main reason why I am doubtful of getting a device having a USB-C port, but it's all good tho for other users
