[deleted post]No, no, no. Things are looking brighter for Nokia and you will witness the dawn of Nokia's second golden age. Nokia will be back on top and they will release Android killers after Android killers. WP is far better than Android and people will soon realize that fact.

I think Nokia will surely take the 2nd place in a few months on the basis of their WP.

darkangels6sic6, 04 Nov 2011Wow.....lol....you are so misguided. Do you realize that if Samsung had just released four and... moreI believe it is you that is misguided my friend.

If Samsung had this "unheard of" technology it would already have placed it inside its flagship devices such as the SGS2 or the Note.

Whilst I laud Samsung's acheivements in the market and am a fan of a lot of their devices. The fact is that they are doing so well BECAUSE they have several models of phone across all price brackets.

their best selling individual device, the sgs2, still lags way behind the iphone 4 on sales alone. But combined with sales of lower priced smartphones such as the other miriad galaxy models like the Ace etc, they sell more than any other company.
It's still a great acheivement but I doubt if they sold only one model of phone they would be anywhere near the top of the list.

But then variety is the spice of life & it's good that they sell several models catering for several tastes/budgets.

[deleted post]Me using Android on Galaxy S2 and WP7 on Omnia. Android is nothing as compared to WP7. Taking consideration of the ages of OS also... WP7 is more integrated and better to use.

If samsung only had 3 models of phones like apple has, they would've never pass Apple. Apple shipped more iphones last year than all samsung phones ever made. So you are comparing 3 iphones vs 30 samsung phones. My point is that not one model of any samsung or Htc phones for that matter has never beaten one model of iphone. And i know that a lot of you also agree when i say that samsung phones are over-rated.

AnonD-26818, 04 Nov 2011Do you know how dumb it makes you look when you say something like that? In marketing science... moreI think you've mistaken what samsung is actually known for. To many yes samsung is an electronic power house but they don't just manufacture electronics of various kinds, they also have their own credit line for banking and their successful market of manufacturing semi-coductors and heck, they even make cars in Korea. So to say that Samsung would destroy Apple if they focused on one handset is totally biased and opinionated by what you know. Samsung has always been a bigger company than apple. It seems like being competitive in different markets and satisfying different groups of customers, (High class, middle class, low class) and so forth would be a daunting tast but an effective one since Samsung has surpassed Apple by doing just that. Yes you may argue that Nokia has also followed this route and is slowly failing but thats simply the case of being slow to act upon business transactions. Nokia was too busy focusing on their own OS that they didn't realize how much potential android was goin to be such a big hit and looky here now they've decided to scrap their own UI and opt for the windows platform. Samsung capitalized on this and is now trying or shall i say in the middle of building and refining their own platform (bada) by taking ques from android and ios. Its a matter of adaptability and refinement. As Bruce Lee once said, “Adapt what is useful, reject what is useless, and add what is specifically your own.” So far, things are lookin great for samsung~

Success of iPhone goes to iOS not the number of phones made by Apple or Samsung. Technically, physical aspects of iPhones are Samsung/LG components. So Android is Samsung's success story combined with AMOLED technology.
