Well done Samsung, SGII is a good and complete phone. Next year is gonna be very challenging as Nokia has just started the race.

yes., Samsung will continue rules the market until iPhone5 is real out. Samsung have too many model to compete with Apple which they only have one or two each year.

Apple is all of 5 phones. Samsung is almost 5 times that. As much as I like Samsung and am a fan of Android, I think it's unfair to say they outdid Apple. It just shows how good Apples marketing strategy is. I'm surprised it took this long to be honest.

I expected this from the 2009 when Samsung first made a very good phone called Omnia HD. It was the worlds first HD phone with super Amoled screen and very handsome looking and exellent camera and sound. At that time Iphone didn't even come close to him with its specs. It was the IOS what pushed the Iphone up and it was the symbian which pushed Samsung down. But now there is Android and android + Samsung is a power which can't be beaten in my opinion. Main reasons why Samsung is gone and will go up is its best camera, best screen and best processors.

Its going to be tough..only company that can maintain the edge will be at the top.....reason only couple of years back Nokia is the best with its communicator phone..who would think Apple which start with iphone3g would set a new benchmark on smartphone..even myself could not think I would buy a Samsung last 3 year, which i think was a crappy phone..even the high spec does days..(now a gs2 user after holding own to full of crap n97 phone for 2 years). smartphone is not cheap but people can still buy/ upgrade every 1-2 years..turnover is very high..
Samsung advantage..variety high spec smartphone. technical/good pricing compare to Apple n HTC, plus they sell to masses, not targeting premium and exclusivity(translate lower pricing) of a iphone n hp. This couple month my office from part nokia n iphone user...now half using samsung from lower spec bada, gs2 to the ever growing 2nd phone cum tablet Galaxy tab..my next phone..2nd phone is galaxy tab 7.7 when its arrive. time to throw my laptop n 2nd phone..a basic nokia.

Just after 1 mnth ur gs2 will be nthing as compared 2 droid razr , but n8 is the king of cameraphnes since more than 1 yr . No competition whatsoever . Gs2 cannot even cm close , pity !

Nokia is that bad and outdated to ke... moreHow true...Nokia is beying run into the ground by Elop ..i'm quite sure Elop's sole intention is to destroy Nokia's shares value so Microsoft can make an overtake bid. That's the only reason why Nokia would be making such stupid decision one after another. All they had to do was accept Android...no they had to play hard to get...well guess what..people dont get it...that weird clumsy LOW SPEC os that wp7 is...I mean com on, no gyroscope, no hdmi, no dual core, no 3d screen, no 3d camera, no dual channel memory, no nothing...All of these things have been acomplished by one of the companyes that embrace Android. So if i want to buy a 3d camera phone i can look at Optimus 3d, Htc Evo 3d, LG Thrill, and the upcoming Htc rider. What does Nokia offer ? Zilch, nada, nothing. I hope they go bankrupt and all theyr employes end up starving to death...thats what the ydeserve for putin up with Elop's stupid , intentional, bad moves.

Talking bad about Nokia doesn't make any sens , looks like frustration.
It is very likely that the Nokia will grow over the current market share. Android has a very strong grip on the market thanks to the huge variety and strong partnerships.
I think the market is growing mature and just having an idea an releasing one model every year won't get you through - Apple .... It has to be also competitive , which is not

well to be honest samsung has nearly 100 different phones on the market compared with apples 3, and although samsung has more phones they only manage 23 million units they have to bring a new phone out every month just to keep up with apple

Samsung will surely hold the lead and maybe even increase it. The arrival of the nexus and note will surely make an impact.
And the price of the galaxy SII has been dropping . You can now get them as cheap as 350 euros. For a phone thats better than the iphone 4s in every way and wich is priced at 650 euros.
Seriously if people are that dumb then they deserve to buy an iphone 4s and they deserve to be laughed at in the face by theyre friends.
