In fact, LCDs that are manufactured for "Bravia" TV are manufactured by Samsung&Sony joint venture S-LCD.

and It's true that SE is a sinking ship regarding to market share and sales. No hard fealing. I really hope this phone turns that around. The competition is always good.
but since Erisson is the real player in the telecommunication industry(Sony is nothing) and Sony Ericsson Xperia Play fails to impress ppl, i don't think it's gonna be pretty tough for sony for next year as well in mobile phone market.

when it comes to speed, software updates, and display sony erricson has always been one step behind the other brands. That is why people keep choosing these uglier looking phones. If your gonna spend 800 bucks most people want there money's worth by buying the latest technology and good looks just don't cut it anymore.

another phone that im going to spent my cash,, after using phones for years now, still i give my hands on SE phones, yes, they doesn't have the best lcd or the fastest cpu's but the reliability of their products are makes them well known, GalaxyS 2 was one of the best specs we all know that, but lets see if that phone was still working after 4-5 years of use, dual core processors?? so whats the real reason behind that?? as a business man, the reason that im buying a phone was to use it as a phone,, im not going to encode my office documents on my phone,, how am i going to use all of those processing power that consumes battery if im just going to use it as a communicating device, you can not encode movies with your phone even though it has a dual core processor,, as a man that is always on the go,, i will prefer reliability than fastest processor,, or the clearest lcd,, when your on the move you dont need fastest and clearest screens, i have my dslr my laptop my tablet to do my other things,,

SE and Android never any succes... moremeego is dead. It's replacing by Tizen(emphasizing HTML5 apps), which is developed by samsung and intel.
wp even loses to bada os in terms of market share(until 2011 Q2). No near to Android. lol.

GS2 rocks.... i know it uses cheap plastic body, but samsung is more reliable than SE.... Sonys products are good but very delicate.

I'm sure the phone will be great.
With the android OS and similar phones to this one, Sony Ericsson could easily lead the new generation of mobile phones.
They had a little slow start with the Xperia X10 and X8 but they impressively revived themselves with the new Xperai arc and Xperia play.
The great thing about android is that it will help any phone company back on its feet as long as the hardware specs are a satisfactory :-).
