Zendroid, 03 Oct 2018Anyone know when it will be available? I'm planning it for a bday gift on Oct 21.The event that it might be announced is on October 16th, so I doubt you'll be able to have it in your hands by October 20th...
So if you own a Huawei Watch (v1.0)...
....then this thing is a side-grade?
Come on, where are the improvements?
I know the first Apple Watch and Gear S1 were even worse than the Huawei Watch v1.0 but those companies kept making improvements. And now the best smartwatch to get is either the latest Apple Watch v4, or the new Galaxy Watch (aka Gear S4), and either device is a decent up-grade from the Huawei Watch v1.0
Start competing properly Huawei, show some innovation!!!
Is it me or are the prices for smart watches beyond retarded. I mean come on at the 250 euro price point you can get some sleak time peace that will keep its value for decades. Or you can get a smartwatch that looses 60% of its value in a year full of junk you dont need. If you can make a smartphone for 60 euro that has twice the capabilities of a smartwatch why is it so god damn expensive? Maybe it's me going senile but I still feel a watch is as much an accessory as it is a useful gadget.

Cheetah2k, 03 Oct 2018Looks just like the 2 tone Galaxy Watch... LOLz Huawei, copy harder! As long as they're making it 150$ cheaper they can copy all they want.
14 day of use. Yes. In dumbmode. Correct. Did you ever reat 3100 characteristics? Dedicated dumb ultra-low consuming dumb core for basic needs like watch faces.
Why don't they put photoelectric cells on the band to extend battery life?

Probably won't be available here in the Philippines. The only smartwatches I see available here locally are the Samsung Gear and Galaxy Watch, and the Apple Watch.
Personally, I think that the 14 days battery life is more like the super battery saving mode, dumbing it down to just a basic watch. I already have the 46mm Galaxy Watch, and I only get around 4 to 6 days battery on moderate use. Maybe if you use the Power Saving Mode which turns it to a dumb watch you'd get 2 weeks.
