Love the quad cores, the size, the built and design, and hope that this phone comes with multiple 3G bands (850/900/1700/1900/2100) to make it a truly world phone. I need to work overtime and start saving for this babe. This ain't cheap compares to the galaxy nexus and galaxy note, it's in $1,000 range ... LOL

Anonymous, 08 Nov 2011seriously, HTC did use amoled, look at their nexus... samsung refused to make them for them anymore!nope, the main reason was the supplies of AMOLED counldn't meet the demands ot that display.

so HTC switched to second best display(S-LCD) from Samsung&Sony :)

Please stop saying that a quadcore is useless. One MAIN reason could be the use for a Google Chrome OS webtop. If you've owned an atrix like myself or other phones capable of running the Firefox webtop then it's quite clear how more cores would be of PRODUCTIVE use.

          Well done HTC!
Judging by amount of QuadCore-fobic comments, competitors simply are not ready at the moment to introduce their QuadCore smartphones to the market. Probably QuadCore smartphones are not on their roadmaps yet, and so HTC has delivered a killer punch!
          Boooom.....!!!!!

                -----------------

No "if, and, but" about it.

A bunch of cry babies are still debating about the new wave.

Furthermore, I like the way that every other people's assumptions that NVDIA, the designer of Tegra 3, and HTC are just plain jokes.

If that's the case, single core is still available.

No "if, and, but" about it.

the demand for the amoled screen is more than what they can produce,

heck there not even enough amoleds for their own phones~!

not to mention supplying them to other manufacturers

this phone is a real beauty there have been a few ugly phones lately especially the razor. but here i open GSMArena and there is a perfectly balanced HTC with curves and straight lines seamlessly integrated into the edge, and then i see a white N9 this day just gets better..;)

And how long will the battery last?

Be great if manufactures could sort out battery life and also allow smart phones to have wake up alarms when the phone if off!

Get those 2 key issues sorted you'll have a winning combination.

One ugly son of a phone. Would never go for HTC. As Steve Jobs has said about MS, they just have no taste. I believe the same goes for HTC, they simply have no taste whatsoever.

AnonD-3425, 08 Nov 2011Sorry but what's the use of four cores if they cant work together? I mean the two heavy-weight... moreI thought this was pretty obvious.

if two cores are underclocked for simple tasks and two are at 1.5 ghz for heavy activity this will save battery life. no doubt as quad core becomes more common software will be written to make use of the four cores.

I remember people baging 1ghz single cores, then banging dual more as overkill. now they are saying quad core is not needed. lol you guys must work for apple. :-)
