we alredy saw that from oppo find x , its not a new thing , seems like now huawei copy right oppo device body design. , poor huawei , always talking about mate 20
I prefer the vivo nex solution. A motorised solution and the body of the phone is still a unibody. Sliding ones are a body within a body and a waste of material.
indiefund, 11 Oct 2018Which countries getting it?
Coming to Europe?Yeah!!
I think it's a global version. Honor has improved on that subject
Aniketsh, 11 Oct 2018china exclusive???Noooo! it's a global version ;)
I love the sliders! I think manual sliding are better than the OPPO mechanism. This phone is cool!
Shui8, 11 Oct 2018Its a modern smartphone, if they going brilliantly like Oppo Find X style, the sliding functio... more I don't like sliders. Both manual and motorized are bad ideas. They will considerably reduce phone durability. Pop-up camera is better choice, and it will NOT reduce durability and drop/bend/dust resistance
MadMel, 11 Oct 2018that would be good...anyway like you said why slider if not for fullscreen? Its a modern smartphone, if they going brilliantly like Oppo Find X style, the sliding function is to hide the front cameras, allowing the full bezelless screen.
And i think manual sliding are just better, unlike sliding mechanism Find X does.
Manual slider lets see how durable it is and I'm guessing it will have FaceID and lack fingerprint but its a possiblity it has both, if its priced right it can be bigger success than Mate 20 Pro
Shui8, 11 Oct 2018Maybe on top only, for earpiece.that would be good...anyway like you said why slider if not for fullscreen?
MadMel, 11 Oct 2018probably small bezel top-bottom.Maybe on top only, for earpiece.
After pause it a lot of times and in slow motion... It looks like that it has infrared 3D face recognition the slider. And seems to come with two cameras plus flash on both sides, the back ones on the left, iPhone style. Other teasers show that probably will come with underscreen fingerprint sensor too. And i'm sure that the audio jack is there too, i watched it. It could potentially be my next phone even above the Mate 20 series, patiently waiting for the presentation and reviews. Make a sealed slider mechanism possible and easy today, so who knows if they surprise us and eve come with IP68... of course it'll increase a bit the cost but is plausible.
