Walter C. Dornez, 16 Oct 2018Yeah, but they're not just spamming phones non stop. Oppo literally makes a phone every week or so"Fashion Status" I would say. It's like they're creating a wardrobe full of different designs of clothes but in the end serves the same purpose; to be worn on the body. Relatable, isn't it?

Well I guess they're following this route too...

These Chinese makers really need to learn a lesson in managing a streamlined portfolio, rather than having 999 models for each use-case.

Unsolved Mistry, 15 Oct 2018"Flexes" and snapdragon 660 in one sentence, oxymoron of sorts XDI had a good chuckle over your response, thank you.
So, earlier they were rebranding Oppo devices as Realme, and now they have started rebranding Realme as Oppo
Man this strategy is perfect! A single brands with 2 brands: one premium priced, and one super budget. They are literally selling one single device to 2 completely separate market segments. Huawei also does it, but their Honor devices were never this aggressively priced. The person who came up with this market strategy, literally deserves a medal.
Unlike Xiaomi who are coming up with multiple similar specced devices under the same prices, which cannibalises their own market, Oppo's strategy literally gives them 2x share for one device.
It's literally an Oppo Realme 2 Pro with a better camera and OLED. What is the point of making the same phone over and over again?
