A smartwatch should be the companion device to a smartphone.
This Palm is basically pocket Wi-Fi.
I would buy it only if it could be used independently and function as a real smartphone
This should be the replacement for the iPhone SE or Sony compact smartphones but they missed the mark.
This little device is irrelevant if you already have a cellphone.
I think this is the most expensive phone accessory ever in a smartphone.
It is a pretty "stupid" smartphone "accessories" as that's what they called it, a smartphone "accessory", not a phone!
So, one word for it, pointless.
So, how much does it cost to make? 5% of what they're charging for it?
Anonymous, 16 Oct 2018it's cute, but i don't get it. it only works in conjunction with a "primary" phone, albeit app... moreLike you, I can't get-it either.
Can't get-it with you because it's not a phone. Also, to watch a video, on 3.3" and 720 it's not so appealing...
shortkey, 16 Oct 2018Welp, there goes the shimmering hope for a compact smartphone. Seriously, screw all of those 5... moreC'mon, read patiently the article again. You need both devices, the 3.3" Palm AND ALSO AN OTHER 5.+" SMARTPHONE in other pocket! And, you won't be able to make phone calls from Palm (or maybe using WhatsApp or similar), because... isn't a phone!
Nooooo, now that the iPhone SE and sub-5" Sony Compact are dead I was counting on Pepito to save us
it's cute, but i don't get it. it only works in conjunction with a "primary" phone, albeit apparently only because it has no SIM slot, yet it can't do anything that your phone couldn't do on its own. it's also too expensive to use as a secondary device for when you don't want to take your actual phone with you, e.g. in a crowded place.
so... it's either another gadget for people with too much money or an offering for compulsive smartphone addicts in the form of a device that's limited to basic features. although, surely you can still watch videos and browse social media or whatever on this, if need be. so maybe not. just an overpriced gadget then?
Welp, there goes the shimmering hope for a compact smartphone. Seriously, screw all of those 5"+ paddles, I want a small smartphone to fit into my palm, like the now deprecated iPhone SE could, and like this tiny device could have. I am let down. Once again.
So this gadget will "help" my smartphone? Should I say, my smartphone will became smarter?! How?
I don't see the point of a pico phone that can't serve as a phone on it's own. So much for a Palm comeback
