i really dont see the point in touch screens, the technology still isnt perfected, touch it to soft it doesnt work, touch to hard and your skippin thru the menu by accident, plus all the horrible fingerprints how could u even see the screen. and who wants to use a stylus all the time. i think if all fones had huge screens with a nice sized buttons (like the n95) im sure ppl can handle that. screens werent ment to be touched, they were ment to be looked at, buttons are ment to be touched.
iPhone by Nokia :>
haha Ken Hakeem. is that a joke from u? you drive 24hrs a week? 365days a year? you dont need touch screen so? does that applies to everyone else? no right? sigh.. use your brain before saying..

the great 1, when it release?
I am a driver, so please, I don't want any "touch" user interface, period.
haha i totally agree with dsfds..
I find it very amusing that the same people who bashed Apple for introducing “touch” interface as completely “unpractical”, “unusable”, etc… now with a great pride posting here about Nokia planning to release the same.

all this in one phone?
the iphone is dead...the n95 was already more superior than the iphone now the s60 touch ........sorry apple stick with ipods
I remember the failures they've made in 7700 and 7710 phones. and also the rebranding of 6708 from benq P31 UIQ phone to have a touchscreen portfolio in their phone. this time i'll see if they're now making the right move.
Can anyone confire the divice shown in this add, if its a real prouduction divice?
Touchscreen is great when it's coupled with the right platform.S60 and touchscreen is a joke. Most s60 users prefer small keypads with alpha numeric input,professionals/power users prefer touchscreen running wm6 or linux.Oh how I long for the day Nokia dumps the s60 platform.
S60 platform offers many advantages and is good to know that it will support touchscreen. On the other hand, i ask myself:is this a preannounced dead for UIQ phones? i mean, why not support an already proven Symbian touchescreen platform instead of developing a new one? Sony Ericsson has proven that UIQ phones migh lead this segment. I've had two UIQ phones so far and i'm able to state that UIQ is a better OS than other touchscreen OS by far
what is the name of this model?
why aren´t it´s features hown in the nokia section?
is it a phone or only symbian-based pda?
I'm excited! Nokia is clearly the leader in mobile phones. They're the standard other cell makers need to aim for. Apple has to realize they can't just jump into any market they want and own it like they did with mp3 players. I loathe apple and their lame I-Phone.
This concept had been introduced so long ago, by a replacing model of a 7710 which was based in the series 80 form, which is transforming to a Model to compete with the Apple Iphone oriented Scheme, where it should have a bigger memory, Flash cabable Player *you tube*, etc.. and in more of course a series 60, format, which people Love, Nokia keeps on releasing techie wise pretty quickly and people will ditch there current model when something more of comes more intowards a new technology etc..
Thanks
Ally
Touchscreen can be a new thing for nokia fanboys but other companies are ALREADY HAVE IT. Nothing new.
why is n0kia d0ing this????how does gsmarena have this and not nokia????
Now,let's hope that the new S60 with Touch screen will also have VGA screen or at least VGA screen and they will be almost perfect.
about time. but i hope they dont these make models from cheap plastic like they usually do. with their other ones.
