Nokia confirms the N8 successor is coming next year, sort of Comments

It's good news for me and other ultimate camera phone lovers. Unfortunately until this day after realised long time ago Nokia N8, no one manufacturer repeated ultimate camera phones as was Nokia N8. After Nokia N8 until these days with some strange reason Nokia produced only average or crap camera phones like Nokia Lumia 800 and others with crap, dummy a lot noise pics. By the way when you released again ultimate camera phone please add all specifications (I don't care WP or Symbian OS) as already it has old Nokia N8 or Samsung I9100 Galaxy S II. Don't repeat with Nokia Lumia 800 mistake when lack of main features (front camera, no extra memory and other).

They don't have the right to say that it didn't ... moreMy friend, first of all, the video is captured 1 year ago +, which is before the SW updates Nokia applied to the N8 camera, so this comparison is not the real thing today.
Second, try comparing two still pictures from both devices (Wave and N8), and then return for a comment. The two devices do not match. Wave loses all the way.
Additionally, if you see the new digital zoom that the N8 has, you will loose your mind with the N8 quality while zooming while recording.

I want this N8 successor to still run on Symbian. The Os still has a fighting chance, I mean look at belle. Symbian c here we go.

Better be it WP8 with better version N8 camera quality. Bigger screen, front facing camera. I doubt this will come soon. By time it will take SG3 +ICS will out, SG2 will be cheaper, SG will be even more cheaper. ICS will come to SG2, And a modded version to SG. Looks difficult Nokia :(

MeeGo OS would be awesome if they started making applications for it. But I would never go for a WP7 phone, the lay out of the OS is so so so boring

I would love a N8 successor with windows os, but if wouldn't mind an even better symbian either. as long as the camera is even better.

I have seen lots of pics and you can check with yourself Wave > N8 on 5 MP standards if you want to go higher then try to comprate it with Samsung W880 AMOLED 12M

If Nokia had even given a Damn about the N9 (like AT LEAST HAVING IT SYNC WITH NOKIA SUITE) I would have got that phone, because Meego in its current state and with the hardware seems good enough for the next 2-3 years usage. But they've just dropped it into oblivion.

I think N8 successor should have hardware like this, 1.5 Ghz processor, 14 MP camera, 1080 video recording and some real good GPU and size of screen around 4 inches. Then they should make phone with all 3 OS. it will be awesome. everybody has choices

Hi, I personaly would like to see Symbian or MeeGo OS as a primary software choice for Nokia N series. The bulky squares of WP homescreen somehow do not seem refined enough for Eropean quality of craftsmanship. I am sorry ( Not really) WINDOWS, but you have lots of work left on designer board until you reach top level and well established market share. Greetings for all Bulgarians around the World.
