Philippines just received the Gingerbread update for LG Optimus 2x this Monday (Nov 14, 2011). Exactly two weeks after the LG started to roll it out in Europe.
So far, my LG Optimus 2x is faster. I think the same goes for Optimus 3D once it receives the update.

haha this is so funny, LG way behind in updates. GSM Arena you should post that SE has just announced their plans to have ICS update for the 2011 Xperias, thats awesome news and us SE / Sony users will be the first to taste ICS!

As others have said we have yet to see Gingerbread on the 2X/P990 despite LG promising it shortly after launch. LG make good phones but their after care is terrible to the point of being almost non-existent and so I will not be buying another LG phone for the foreseeable future.

lolz, LG is really a great joker on this GB updates.... i still dont have the GB updates in Malaysia on my P990, but who cares, i have 2.3.7 on my phone now.... LG's press statement aint means sh1t anymore as all of them r lies!

I had this phone and to be honest, it was horrible.
worst battery lif... moreActually, I am positively surprised with the battery-life, having in mind you're dealing with a dual-core smartphone with a 4.3" display. Other devices in the same range certainly aren't better. Add to that that you can buy a 3000mAh Battery with special back-cover for the phone, over it's original 1500mAh battery, and you have a device that can last several days with normal use.
When it comes to updates, LG's word rings true that the Optimus 2X Speed got it's Gingerbread update, if you have an unlocked phone, at least for Europe. Those complaining the update is not there, do you have an unlocked device, or one coming from an operator you have your contract with? It can make a HUGE difference.

ok its about time to have this update released...
but cause i am so satisfied with my Optimus 3D i have been patient...
LG u should be faster in releasing updates u know...
This phone is really the best one ive used so far... this beats samsung / nokia /. htc / and ofcourse iphone

I had this phone and to be honest, it was horrible.
worst battery life ever and while the 3D is not really good, it causes headaches and nausea.
