ICS will be great for this phone but the hang up is not Samsung but rather ATT - I'm still waiting for Gingerbread for my Captivate

They just said it might be available in December. So only possibility. No date is confirmed yet.
and im pretty sure they will update ICS for European users first. Last time it was scandinavia countries that received GB ahead of the rest of the world.
but again it doesn't matter. We will get ICS faster than any brand for sure.

In Korea Samsung confirmed that ICS will be updated no later than this December I checked in on the internet news so international versions of galaxy s2 will get the update near the same time and Galaxy (i9000) is getting the ICS too while nexus one isnt how shame

Ok, so nowadays announcement comes without an date, even an approximate one isn't there, cool. Also only Samsung UK confirmed it, cool.
I still remember Samsung announced an official upgrade for Omnia HD back in February, 2009, which is still pending.
How could one believe them when they can't believe themselves?
