Wow. A phone with no dual-core, no 1080p recording, no great appstore and no SuperAMOLED Plus gets awarded Phone of the Year after 2 days of release. I've seen it all now.

nokia was good back in the day when the n95 first came out witch made nokia boom.. then it just went down from there.. as everyone else was improving nokia was still lacking performance and pretty much everything else.. now they are starting to be smart and make a decent phone but still have along way to go to catch up!

well, I just cant get over guys bragging about dual cores and oll....
what matters is how practical the system is.
if ya can get the same speed of operation and multiple times the slickness with single core professor, den wots d need of dual core processors????
mere specs are nthing if ya aint got a capable driver...
                grow up!

How much did they pay to receive this award? Nokia Lumia 800 is really a good phone, but SGSII take this nokia for a brekfast.

I wouldnt agree on lumia 800 being the best mobile of the year, but without a doubt which many would agree with me, the nokia n95 was by far the greatest game changer and leader of mobiles for at least a year back in 2007. First 5mp in a dual slider design, high end vga recording, big or maybe biggest lcd screen 2.6inch. Gps built in, and compact design

I just dont understand what the big deal is with people and their fixation for dual core and gigs of ram....from years of hacking...with hardware....this fact stands out...for hardware to work at its full potential you the software has to be married to it beautiful union...otherwise there is just no point...for any phone out there on Android (being an OS for the masses and a very good one at that) having a dual core and having tons of ram just doesnt do justice to they it performs alongside an iPhone(which i am not a great an of) or a windows phone7-7.5.....use it to see how these phones work...and then comment...bigger isn't always better....Androids crash very often and what is the use of billions of aps when only a handful of them are useful...and how many do you guys have on your phone anyway ?

                                my 2 cents worth ....
