Samsung is not working with the latest android technology. All the phones released by Samsung are totally too late on the smartphones Industry. Nokia has already overtaken the race from Apple and Samsung. There has been no reports on any type of issues on the Nokia Lumia. it can also be otherwise utilized as a official phone, now say bye bye to your Laptop. Samsung's OS and smartphones can be nicely reviewed and rated with the latest OS ice cream, sandwich release. Users are complaining for not getting their update, even the tablet series users are cannot receive this update. No one does like this. when there is any OS update almost the premium device users should be made available the updates.
Well this OS update could be named as food poisoning update. very embarrassing

parksey84, 03 Jan 2012My galaxy s is still 2.0 an need to no how to update it plz help, ive had a look at the firmwa... moreThere was/is a problem with some of the early editions of the phone in that they wont update via Samsung Kies - you need to either take it to a Samsung Service Centre (check the website for closest to you) where they will update it to the latest version for you or take matters into your own hands and flash it yourself although this may invaidate the warranty but easy enough to do, search online for a guide.

I'm in the UK, on Orange, and I can't seem to get the update. I'm currently on 2.3.3, and I've checked OTA and through Kies on the computer. Any reason why? Can someone help?

2.3.5 Looks good. Icons had to be put back on to the desktop after upgrade. Battery life does not seem as good also the phone has "frozen" twice needing a battery removal to re-start. A failed text message can no longer be re-sent as the option has gone. I live in a poor signal area so this is frustrating.

Good news to 3 UK provider... Yesterday there is an update through KIES for 2.3.5 version which give quite nice performance... Nice job 3 UK for the update... But still no update for JV0 version...
