How is this a success story?hahaha, so true, the figure shown is too low for such a high population. china (fake) phones is selling just because it is cheap and those are the only devices that china people can afford because of their low salary like $140.00 a month. what can you buy on that kind of salary??? only junk imitated (fake) iphone, samsung, and nokia. and their people perceived those junks as, as good as the original. pathetic... and those companies that sell those imitated if not substandard device generates millions for selling junk to their countrymen... sick i tell you. they are sick!!!

Copying is coming out with the exact same looking product with china phone OS. That's copying. So what if Nokia entered the Dual sim category? They've always been making low budget phones way before Samsung started making phones, why not explore that area?

taiwan claims that they are independent and separate from china. they even have their own goverment (democratic presidential).
don't be confused that taiwan is part of china (Communist)
in taiwan, they experience one of the world's best lifestyle having a good pay for it's people. therefore taiwanese can buy htc. people in mainland (communist) china though have lower salary. they simply just can't afford such a device (htc) that is why they settle for lower cost junk android products from zte. unlike htc, samsung, motorola that is producing superior quality android products, zte focuses on low-cost, high volume sales production thus, sacrificing better hardware, and after-sales support.
see sales don't mean a thing. it depends on the target market of the company. not quite so impressed on zte. they are making cheap, inferior quality products to the market. wasting precious raw materials.

I don't expect every average consumer to follow the price/performance rule when buying, but factoring in quality too. Nokia does that quite well and I'll bet the consumers in China knows that too.

Most manufacturers have factories in China,because of low production costs and cheap labour hand.......the workers get enought to buy a boll of rice at the end of the day,while Nokia,Apple and the rest make billions!...

The cheap China knock-offs I see all the time is not from Nokia. Mostly it's the iphone and Blackberry's, at least from where I live. I've seen very few if nothing at all of N8, E7, E6, N9 or any other more recent models from Nokia. See, the rule is what's more popular gets copied and the iphone is the "it" smartphone for most people right now so it's there for you at a cheaper price in China phone stores.
