As i said before we have Samsung Galaxy Series
J (the most basic)
A (Midranger class)
M (New below average above basic)
S (Top tier of S-Line)
O (Foldable ones if they make it)
N (Note series)
So its Jamson and Jameson is a outstanding Irish whiskey made by John Jameson since 1786 so Samsung series are equal to bottle of Whiskey :-)

IP68 on any of these?
Not sure why the article said A series is focused for Europe. Samsung sells the S and Note series in emerging market as well.
Samsung mid-range models are way overpriced, but at least the previous A series have IP68 rating as their unique selling point. Without IP68, no point in wasting money to buy a Samsung where Xiaomi delivers better spec for less. In the end, all these phones run the same apps, so paying more just to have Samsung brand is stupid.

If u compare a 5.5" 16:9 aspect ratio smartphone with a 6.0" 18:9 aspect ratio smartphone, one difference you'll see is that the width is shorter and the length is longer on the 18:9 aspect ratio one, making it a slim form factor. Smartphones these days are just more longer than usual, and slimmer too, it's not like there's a major difference in size. Of course, consumers will only know this if they got the knowledge regarding the different aspect ratios available on smartphones currently or, they've done a hands-on with any of these type of smartphones
xXENDER FREAKXx, 27 Nov 2018Compact smartphones are quite limited now, current smartphones are getting like what, 6" and a... moreThat is true. but consider this. it's a tall aspect of 18:9. a 6inch display in this aspect ratio is NOT LARGER than a 5.5inch in 16.9. in fact. when watching a typical video. and comparing a "traditional" display with a "new tall aspect display". the image will be EXACTLY the same size! (the same goes for the 6.28 inches with a notch. it just got a few more hundreds of pixels Horizontally. and essentially the same as always when comparing to a standard 5.5inch!)
the size race is stagnating. people. it's still 5.5 in it's very basic sizes. and few phones are stretching to 5.6 or even 5.8! the point is most is the same as always~!
(thank you. Mitake Ran! for helping me phrase it)
May be 6 inch displays with all internals except processors selling on footpaths in china. So these brands directly go there purchase that junk & add their processor from storeroom & add their logo . Selling it as brand new phone for these brand conscious people.

It could also be a case of chicken and egg. The market doesn't want small phones because none exist. No small phone exists because manufacturers think the market doesn't want compact phones. Because no small phones exist, the market doesn't buy what isn't there. Because... Wait. I need to stop.
