It's ONE occurance, when all iPhones start doing this randomly then it'll be a worry. All apple need to do is give out free batteries if a bad batch is detected, only problem is the user cannot change the battery themselves. Shame on you apple for such a basic design flaw.

But the phone in question isn't a standard iPhone it has been altered by the owner.

The logo on the back of the phone is the Apple/Steve Jobs logo and not the standard Apple logo.

So the owner has had a custom back plate fitted, so I don't think you can blame the phone for this as they may have screwed something up.

that is why I greatly prefer user replaceable batteries. One can inspect them to if they are OEM or just cheap C&^$#$e garbage. It also allows one to carry extra batteries as supposed to some third party external power solution. xman

Ha ha ha! One more reason that makes Apple a bad brand. Keep it up and the world will be a better place.

Have had many iPhones. Used them on many trips, left on, and never had a problem this could have been caused by anything from bad luck to a bad battery to misuse by the user.

                                        Means nothing to me.
