If my last 3 phones (Nokia 5310, E71 & E5 are anything to go by and the inability of Nokia to resolve my issues with the last 2, then it is no wonder they are losing market share. Whilst standing at the Nokia customer care counter for quite a few visits I noticed quite a number of Lumia 800 phones being brought back with issues. So much then for their new OS. It is quite sad though, because Nokia used to be associated with quality and reliability. It seems all they can do these days is watch their brand loyal customers walk away to competitors. I know, I am walking away after I get rid of this E5 of mine. Goodnight Nokia, don't forget to switch off the lights on your way out
Mr Elops best Karoke song with Nokia is "Down Down Deeper an Down" by Status Quo as thats all he is doing to Nokia just Declining such a Superb Company an putting them in a Status Quo an then is old employees Microsoft can come in a Overtake Nokia, now after my experience with Android an Galaxy S2 i can not me buying another Nokia phone in the near Future,an not me just saying this but loads of others now after Nokia choose Windows
I already have Windows on my computer. I don't want Windows on my phone. I want something different...Android or Meego comes to mind.
I really think Nokia should have adopted Symbian and Meego as their only OS. They are awesome in hardware but I wonder why they can't do much in software ;)

Nokia has done big mistake by going with Microsoft. I liked Maego (as i was fond of Maemo). I like android as it is inspired from Maemo and also Symbian Belle is nice. But for WP7 i will say i like tiles in my toilet only.
cprodo, 05 Dec 2011I have an lg e900 windows phone mango and it is great, a lot better than symbian, much better ... moreDespite all the fuss and supposed marketing push for Nokia and even just WP7 in general ,Ive yet to see( here in London) anyone 'in the wild" with a WP7 phone.
All I ever seem to see are iPhone,s,iPhone,s and more iPhone,s.
How targeted is the advertising?Yet again all the ads I very seem to notice are for iPhones.
Thiago, 05 Dec 2011ANDROID could be the salvation... if Nokia wakes up in time!! People look for apps, not Window... moreIf WP7 is the "same crappy desktop", can you please explain why an overwhelming majority of CONSUMER pcs and laptops (not talking about universities or research institutes here) run Windows???
AnonD-23574, 05 Dec 2011The bottom line here, is that the Lumia phones, thus far, have sold about 50% of what was hope... moreThat's an very interesting theory but unless WP sales pick up considerably I don't think they'd risk it.
But by the next major version they'll probably be forced to change the minimum requirements to multicore, to stop ultracheap phones with crap performance polluting the lineup.
I have an lg e900 windows phone mango and it is great, a lot better than symbian, much better than any android os and for sure at least good enogh like ios, so give it a try u will not regret and u may like it
Sam21, 05 Dec 2011Elop ,CEO,Nokia is not a sensitive person. Why he left maemo?think of the n900.the os was real... moreNokia had the edge on Android in their Maemo OS, and had a potential iOS killer, but infighting, a trojan horse infection from Microsoft and competition from Apple left them constipated and listening to infighting akin to the passing of intestinal gas. It is over, while Nokia can apologies resurrect Maemo I think it is too late. Sorry the market has moved on.
If you ask me. Switching from Symbian to Windows will not make any difference for Nokia. They really need to stay with symbian and step it up to support faster processors and dual core motherboards. They really need to be updated with the trend. If they dont catch up now... they never will.
Nokia should get the android O.s licensed and give it it's own trade marke U.I it will definitely attract more people
I was a huge fan of nokia, seriously. But, after i've seen their stupidity with windows phones... Well , i'm now posting this comment with my brand new iphone 4s.
Elop ,CEO,Nokia is not a sensitive person. Why he left maemo?think of the n900.the os was really superb.it just needed some development and it would be a tough competitor to android .nokia changing os everyday but no third party apps available.just stupid.in a few years the biggest cell manufacturer is going to get abolished.so sad .i am a big nokia fan but now thinking of buying SE and SAMSUNG phones.
trimalo, 04 Dec 2011with Nokia clearblack, Music, roadmap... Lumia 800 is the best design, I love it in Cyan! N9 is much better period.
AnonD-14101, 02 Dec 2011True to the core. Also they have improved Symbian dramatically as well with Belle. Only if the... moreAccept, Nokia would have the same old problem with Belle that they did with all symbian products that came before it. That is, they never get the updates out in a timely fashion. Microsoft will be better at this.
Where is Symbian Belle for my C7? Nowhere to be seen, is the answer, despite the rom already existing.
Anonymous, 05 Dec 2011Th N9 has exactly the same design but better hardware and not that botched up thing they call ... moreI think you meant software as opposed to hardware.
Anonymous, 04 Dec 2011Agree with you...
It was the same reason I dumped nokia after having a dumb phone called n8... moreYou are the second person I know of to complain about their N85 speakers. To think you would get very loud volume from dual speakers.
Missing a call can mean missing a business opportunity. Nokia needs to learn that LOUDNESS is the most important thing in a phone!!!!!!!!!!
