      I'm a huge Nokia fan.

I have had a total of 9 Cellular phones...7 of them being Nokia. Nokia will do well in one area and mess up in another area. For intsance, the legendary Nokia 6230 have a loud ringer yet it's loudspeaker during a telephone conversation is very low. Since then, quite a few Nokia phones have quiet ringers and quiet loudspeakers. I have contacted Nokia about this and their silly answer was that Nokia makes different phones for different markets. No sensible answer as if they are robots programmed to say the same thing no matter the complaint. Well they have felt it now with the drop in their market share.

I don't like Blackberry phones but I admire the loudness of their loudspeakers during a call. I can't forget how extremely loud the Blackberry 8320 loudspeaker was. It was so loud it made my ears hurt. Samsung makes good loudspeakers as well.

All my Nokia phones consisted of (in order): Nokia 3310, Nokia 3410, Nokia 3200, Nokia 6230, Nokia 6300, Nokia E51 and currently Nokia E71.

I was thinking about Nokia's real upgrade to the E71, the E6 which was released in summer. I have heard that the ringing and loudspeaker volume is low for this so that was an instant turn off.

Based on GSMArena's review, the Lumia 800 is quiet both in ringing and loudspeaker performance so apparently they still haven't learnt their lesson.

It makes no sense to have the best features in the world if you are going to miss calls due to low ringing volume...which is the PRIMARY reason for having a telephone. Sorry Nokia I have given you enough chances. My next phone WON'T be a Nokia.

What else did Nokia expect? This is a company that released a high-end phone (N9) and then abandoned the platform at launch! Just plain silly. I think Nokia's association with WP is actually curtailing the platform's growth.

I dont know about other but I like WP7. Tiles are little boring but provides better functionality. They are like windows (Actual Windows). You open one n there r whole lot of options n info. Though WP is not as easy or simple like iOS.
I would choose Symbian Belle over it anytime but still its good. If WP adds some more options frm Symbian like USB OTG, HDMI, etc. I will go for it. Also I would like to see some price cut.

I have always been a Nokia fan (over 10 years) but now I am getting Samsung S II with its android. I have lost faith with my last Nokia N97 with no support from Nokia whatsover. If they went for Android instead of WM I would probably stick with them. But I consider WM as dead end as Symbian.

A lot of people out there don't seem to get the picture. Be different and be good at it. Im a huge Nokia fan and currently i'm rolling with the N9, had the N8 and getting one soon again. I know Nokia has been slow compared to the other manufacturers but if you compare Nokia to the rest of them, you'll notice that all the other manufacturers make toys with pretty transtions and cute backgrounds whereas Nokia make PHONES. Phones that take photo's, phones that connects seemlisly, phones that are user friendly. No butterfly's, no cute flowers, just a work of art! The N8 isn't all that pretty, but when I take a photo, the rest of the world can go sleep.

To start off, i had an N8 and to boldly say it, it ran smoother than the SII. And all it needed is 680MHZ (not even 1.2GHZ). Secondly, these two phones can't be compared - the SII is newer than the N8 after all. That's like comparing a 2010 Subaru Impreza 2.0WRX to a 2011 BMW M3 4.0 V8.....

                            Hello Nokia ,
If you need to get back in the Market , you need to do like Samsung ... I.E. releasing the same phone in 3 flavours (Symbian + Windows + Android) and let the customer choose what he likes.
I like to see N8s in Symbian and N8w in Windows and N8a in Android rather than N8 in Symbian only.
Same hardware in 3 different platforms.

I've never used a Windows OS phone but I'm told that it is fast and brilliant to use. The only problem with it that I can see is that the interface is SO DAMN UGLY!
Apple phones sell so well because they are 'idiot proof'. If you don't believe me just ask any women why she likes her iphone so much and she will tell you that it is because it is so easy to use. She only has to fire up the screen and everything she wants is there via a simple icon. The WP7 UI just doesn't match it for looks.
                                Sad, but it's true.
