and what about my s60v5 based C6-00? No updates? Could have used some.
by the way, Nokia was meant to go down.. their phones were usable only because of superior software, otherwise they were pretty much dumb phones.. and its their own fault on software side, they should have fixed it along with N-series.. there's memory allocation issue still unfixed, let alone updating UI.. they can't even use their common sense that its not a good idea to build small screen touch phones with wide-ratio making it further slim... esp when there are small elements in OS's UI like scroll bar, next/prev buttons in tabs.. etc...
and now they are using Symbian as an escape-goat, but the truth is that Nokia is no longer on top.. not even on 2nd or 3rd position... they will only be manufacturing Low end phones like Nokia Asha soon... Something which happened to Motorola 6-7 years ago..

I wore only ever used Nokia's Symbian smartphones with Android 2 and do not think that the Androids are perfect, because updates need not even have to resort to non-original ROMs. So think about returning to Nokia and Symbian as soon as possible

think why nokia became more strategical than other brands becaus they are fighting for the SURVIVAL,STABILITY...possibly customer support would be like this...so dont support wp7 handsets too..

I don't remember Nokia announcing Belle's release date officially. Don't believe what you read at blog sites. As per Paulip at Nokia Discussions (http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/t5/Software-Updates/Symbian-Belle-Release-Rumour/td-p/1239747), Belle just finished alpha testing a few days ago and just entered beta testing.
Another issue to think about is that users who flashed their phone with the leaked version of Belle reported some of the apps not working. This would mean Nokia needs to update the apps together with the firmware. If you think about it that is a lot of work and will take time.
Just be patient. I know waiting sucks but if you guys cannot wait any longer. You are welcome to get and iPhone or an Android.
Stop the bickering. It's so childish. Belle getting delayed doesn't mean its the end of the world. Go out more instead of lurking on gsmarena.

nokia is doing stupid things like this but then they say symbian is a burning platform when it is actually their own fault. it is kinda ok if update is late but dont go telling people the probable date for update and then broke the promise making a lot of people angry what is this attitude someone should sue nokia for making people frustrated every year if i have money i will sue them for sure so they go down in an instance but then again if i have money better go buy better phone other than nokia..

me also a user of only nokia but now it seems that they doesn't care of their customers & that is why they are losing the market & me also thinking to move to android coz now its a powerful at dis time goodbye nokia n best of luck for the future.......... i hate dis saymbian devices

Do you know the phone that doesn't have notification for new emails in notification bar, or anywhere else in the UI (except in widget)? Or maybe the one where Gmail push feature doesn't work (except in Exchange email)? There is only one like that in 2011... You guessed it... :)

I guess Nokia is taking its customer base as granted and when you start taking things for granted, they start falling apart.. No wonder nokia customer base is loosenng up in leaps and bounds.Be attentive Nokia, You have been a real pain for your Loyal customers..

Waiting for Anna update took forever and now the extra delay for Belle. I've owned my N8 over a year and it's still buggy, the scrolling is erratic, however, that said, it has a good camera.
I might have been tempted by windows phone but that was rushed out with a mediocre camera! They should have launched the real deal - especially with all the negative press they have been receiving since tying with Microsoft!
For me, I have now lost all interest in Nokia. My N8 will be going on eBay and I will be a proud owner of an iPhone 4s this Christmas time. My first iPhone I may had!
I tend to be a loyal customer. I was with Nokia for many years and then switched to Sony and when they started screwing up I eventually returned back to Nokia. From my understanding Apple do not screw up too often and like Nokia have a loyal customer base!
The difference being in my opinion is that Apple focus on one product and yes it's damn expensive but it works and looks the business. Also, because they only have to focus on one phone they get software updates out quicker than everyone and that adds to customer loyalty and brand satisfaction! Something Nokia can never compete with!!!
Good luck with you N8 and I hope Nokia sort it out - but it's too late for me!

It's not a surprise, Nokia always do this with yours FW updates... I've waited for months until kinetic scrooling for 5800 and wil wait for months to Belle.
