He is absolutely right. They are massively influential. They aren't the first to do things, but when they do, it makes a big impact on the market. They weren't the first to take the headphone jack away, but I can assure, once they did, the % of wireless headphones vs wired headphones in stores ranges went up dramatically. Only after Apple did it. Ranges of wireless chargers went up dramatically in stores after the wireless charging iPhones become available. When Apple do something, the market reacts much more to it than when anybody else does it. Huawei bringing out a 5G compatible phone won't make the networks hurry up and launch 5G networks, but a 5G iPhone would

Wireless charging? Samsung already offered it before apple.
5G, huawei already offered it and samsung s10 already working on it.
What do you mean influential company? Are you reffering for the NOTCH and REMOVING THE HEADPHONE JACK. I dont even call it innovation.

Apple is really a influential company. If Apple do something like removing Headphone jack other company will follow too. The next thing is Apple wants everyting wirelessly. 5G also will not be available Worldwide unless Apple announce its 5G phones.
