Aycaramba, 12 Dec 2011Being an admirer of Sony Ericsson, I find this phone ugly. In some angles, it is more or less ... moreI like Sony Ericsson phones and their design. Compared to the Xperia class of design this one is a boo-boo !!
ahh now im considering iphone.. let see ur pricee
no card slot non removable battery
like i posted before, too bad no microSD expansion.
i agree with other poster saying 32 GB too little for full HD video capabilities and a 12 mp shooter.
you run out of room real quick, especially for someone
like me who likes to do spontaneous videos and pictures of friends and family.
Will definetly not get se phone without see all the user base experience first.Lack of update and support make me think twice to get Se phone.
Has anyone noticed the metal stripe on the back panel has the home, back and menu keys embossed...seems like a capacitive touch back panel stripe....awesome SE.. U lost me after X10 software update disaster...got me back with the Gingerbread update for X10...Now with this Nozomi surely u've sold atleast 5 phones to me and my friends... Go SONY
This phone is just beautiful...especially after a disatrous design of the xperia arc(xperia x10 looked a lot better)... these clean edges and sophisticated look surely justifies the SE design capabilities... Finally android gets a phone which can beat CRapple at design...
Anonymous, 13 Dec 2011have anyone notice that there are buttons on the back as well?yes, maybe this is just a sample
This phone does not deserve the " ARC " name tag, this is not arc shape, really poor design, awful
Aycaramba, 12 Dec 2011Being an admirer of Sony Ericsson, I find this phone ugly. In some angles, it is more or less ... moreI agree with the guy here. The design is not all that good. I still have an xperia x10 the design of which I think is much better, and ofcourse the design of Arc is simply georgous. But this one is not that hot at all.
One more thing I dont understand is, why do u need a back cover when you cant replace the battery and cant put a micro sd card in? Do you guys also feel it awkward?
what is the point of the bottom part of the phone? I see that the buttons are clear touch buttons that you can see through which is cool I guess. Is there anything in that bottom half a centimeter of the phone?
This is a great phone, gj SE. And what I mostly like is the 12mpx... It was a freaking time someone makes a high-end Android device with camera that has more than 8mpx(I'm not counting the Asian models). So again, GJ SE, looking forward with replacing my S2 with this one.
Poor him, the 12mpx camera, disappointing me remarkably! Not my next choice...
I have been a Sony Ericsson fan since 2003, i would take these rumor pictures with a grain of salt, i doubt that the Nozomi that many people have been waiting for will look like this, i still believe that sony can make better.
For those who are fretting about Quad-core, the technology trend does not go into high specs unless the cost-benefit-profit ratio is appealing to the company. So at the moment i do not think many companies are going to produce any quad-core phones until late 2012 or maybe 2013. Also, i have seen a comparison between the Samsung SII and The Sony Ericsson Arc S, and they are not far apart in terms of performance, taking into consideration that the SII has a dual-core chip. I think Sony will out-perform some of the handsets with its Dual-core phone.
In addition, people have been talking about these pictures that they are official, i still consider them not official until i get it from the horse's mouth, which the unveiling of the smartphone itself.
So enjoy the pictures, and know that its just a rumor or a leak that might not be used, of course, Sony Ericsson is a big division under Sony now, so a company can make many prototypes and then decide which one to choose, as far as system engineering goes the phone is still in the testing phase until its deployed and released for the public. So keep hope for Sony to produce the best smartphone they ever made in 2012. I have owned more than 8 Sony Ericsson phones from feature phones to a smartphone back then that was called P900i. I still think think Sony Ericsson is the best and will produce the best phones to come soon :)
What pathetic design is this? A boxy rectangle paper weight. It is nowhere near the looks of Xperia Arc design.
Wesley, 13 Dec 2011No microSd card slot? Wtf is this? Same as the Galaxy Nexus. Galaxy Note here I come...galaxy note is sooooooo ugly and very large in size .. big no no...
Anonymous, 13 Dec 2011At least Galaxy Nexus got ICS. This one doesn't. medicore hardware with outdated software, ... moregoogle nexus has got ics bcoz it's google phone.. this will also get ics but a bit late bcoa it's not google phone phone rite... please dont present twisted facts..
Why Sony makes a transparent bar at the bottom? It ruins the whole design!
