"The hole on the top is not noticable at all"
It's like saying "I can't see Godzilla" if you're 50 feet from it. The hole is HUGE.
This is what I said along with other's comments back in November, it wasn't too late then & as the units are still in preproduction phase, maybe it isn't too late now?
IMO this double hole is double trouble.
Samsung, ignore GSMA articles & User comments at your peril:

NO
NOt
NOtch!
#No! to the O.
Samsung!, for your own sake (& ours) please step away from the Notch!
Maybe this O is a P.R. marketing gimmick so they can still claim that they have have a notchless, bezel-less display, & to save face from rivals who were ridiculed for their notches.
If you were going to do this, then it would be better to have this O centralised, and as close as possible to the the top or bottom of the frame (@ the bottom would be out of the way for portrait reading useage, and the user can always rotate the handset 180° for selfie/ video calls).
Even if it's a centralised u (@ the top) or n (@ the bottom) waterdrop micro notch would be better than this inset floating O punched through the corner of the screen.
If this O was invisible & not affecting the screen display then ok bravo!, but it is visible, and also if the speakers are affected by this design change, then please don't do it.
1 of the main reasons people choose/ remain with Samsung smartphones is because they make the best screens with no notches or intrusions in their display panel.
We don't have any intrusion on our TV display panel or any other display panel & I don't want 1 on my phOne's display panel either, where it's even mOre nOticeable at clOse prOximity.
A dead pixel would be noticeable, but nOt nearly as bad as a hOle punched thrOugh the display.
No notch is best, having no notch is a U.S.P. nowadays (although others are now coming out with viable alternatives), if Samsung isn't ready with the invisible underscreen camera, then no problem stick with the minimized top & bottom bezels for now and make the existing components even better, especially the speakers.
This would be my preference.
Or they could improve on the slider, making it as high IP as possible, >IP65.
Or do away with the front selfie camera & just use the main one on the back with a back screen, this should be relatively easy for a screen manufacturer.
Oh & if there's a Bixby button then please make sure it's a user defined smart button including all actions & none.
Wow! You can see 3photos at the same time.
BrokenLawShaw, 17 Jan 2019Now that's a good-looking phone. Good job Samsung. The hole cameras are a great solution to no... more"looks SWEEEEEET!".
No, it looks like a sweet, a Tic-Tac to be precise.
I protested & ranted about this Hole when I heard about it @ the beginning of November, so thanks for the heads up GSMA, it enabled me to buy the Note9 in a Black Friday deal instead, SWEEEEEET!
i would like to go back to samsung once the width vs length is re-designed in a way
not to see a kind of stick in the hand.
As expected, huge design FAIL!
The lowest part of the punchhole is too low and this makes the status bar becoming much bigger, wasting a huge proportion of the screen. The navigation bar seems a bit bigger too, prolly to make it look more symmetrical.
Garbage design, the worst Samsung ever had, such a same for yhe anniversary edition...
Beautiful! I'll just use dark themes a lot. Because, you know, android can customize many things unlike iphones.
i say let's see if the note 10 can hide the selfie camera under the screen then. they should have held their ground against screen interruptions. poor samsung. it must have been the pressure from huawei that did them in.
Man it has a DeadPixel on release?
Anonymous, 17 Jan 2019Why would anyone need dual camera on the front?
I won't buy any phone with dual camera since ... moreBecause some women's bottoms are so large that single camera won't cover them.
The camera inserted on the screen doesn't seem very useful, it's just making bigger the space for the top menu which is useless to do so, also the icons are just smaller and will torment people with OCD while watching those now tiny icons not aligned with the rest of their screen. Feels more like something annoying rather than feeling it adds some screen space.
Also, lets just hope the camera position doesn't becomes an issue with third-party apps.
I don't see the attraction of the camera placed where it is, it's not really adding much screen space but the space for that top menu which seems useless and the icons look pretty small still. Lets hope it doesn't become an issue while interfering with third-party Apps.
Duh, 17 Jan 2019Flip it the other way aroundyeh i forgot,
you could rotate it multiple ways, tnx.
hope samsung could implement it better when the note10 arrives...

As long as you can hide it, its ok
wish they could place on the left side rather than the right side as I play/watch on land scape mode and the pause button placement is where the camera pill shape is located
