Keeping in mind that each subscription has like a 1000 people sharing it.
I would never become a paying subscriber because most of the shows on the video streaming service SUCK! Torrent for life!

Good news for them. But, on m s n 1/19 is a post saying "Netflix is burning through cash, and it can't last forever." Netflix keeps rapidly adding customers and revenue continues to climb sharply. By spending gobs of money and borrowing aggressively, But Netflix can't burn that kind of cash forever, especially if market turbulence limits the ability of debt-laden companies to tap the junk bond market. "It's not sustainable," Neil Begley, Moody's senior vice president, told CNN Business.
MAYBE, just MAYBE it's correlated with the latest price hikes? The prices went up by ~20-30%, and I suspect that's going mostly into their profits.

Public service provides a lot more than just spamming
tv series. For instance, they don't adapt content based on autocrat's requests like Netflix. (Dictator supporting censorship, that is)
All those subscribers giving netflix all that money, good for them. unlike the BBC showing mostly crap and been forced to pay a licence fee for it. Id rather BBC was subscription instead of forced licence. Then again who would subscribe? no me for one.
