Anonymous, 22 Jan 2019Only 5 mp for night shots !! What a joke. That's 5mp of pixel binding. It's not the same as just a 5mp. Even the 3mp full zoom of the 808 looks almost as perfect as the 38mp full res photos. Granted they won't be that good but could easily very well match and challenge those of 8 through 20mp ones in lower lighting.
I'm sure the newer tech helps and all that.
However make all these claims you want. In practice that whole pixel binding thing never seems to actually equate to much more effective light intake.
And even in bright conditions it will surely struggle with noise and dynamic range relying too heavily on excessive post processing and image stacking.
I prefer at least some bezels with good front facing speakers and large/good camera sensors!
AnonD-762416, 22 Jan 2019Depends on how little light you're fine with, I guess? All I'm hoping for is a small tiny hole. Not the big ones on the V20 or the A8s
Walter C. Dornez, 22 Jan 2019So how small could the hole be theoretically?Depends on how little light you're fine with, I guess?
When it comes to image sensor i always prefer Sony image sensor.
The Sony IMX258 and F2.0 Lens on my MI4C outperform Samsung S5K2L7 and F1.9 Lens on Redmi Note 5.
Anonymous, 22 Jan 2019Only 5 mp for night shots !! What a joke.Try to learn about the tech, not the MP count. This sensor won't be used in the S10 anyway, likely midrange.
They called the 1/3.4" sized sensor the smallest? LG V30 has 1/5" if the specs are correct...
And the results would be less of an attraction eh Samsung?
Only 5 mp for night shots !! What a joke.
