jtrogr, 23 Jan 2019At least Apple devices keep their resell value. This S10 will cost half the price after 4 months. That's because of competition in the Android world with frequent new models. Just open up iOS and see what happens to iPhones in the iOS world
The price is expected, as large storage doesn't come cheap.. but that hideous cutout is not better than a teardrop.
Instead of having a useless marginal edge of the screen, now we have a useless part in everything we watch :(
They should just price it at 2000€. People who would pay 1600€ for a phone would pay 2000€ as well, and no one normal is gonna buy it anyway

I'm also tired of seeing people crying about prices in the comments ... moreFirst they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out... you know the rest.
I just DON'T wanna see a theoretical Redmi 69A cost £699.99...
Shak23, 23 Jan 2019Ummm Samsung tends to get slower than most flagship soo yeah its does I'm sure you didn't use them since more 5 years or even you have never been used them xD
ToD, 23 Jan 2019And in 12 months with S11 coming, these phones will be sold 50 % from their value of today...i... moreYes just switch the replacement cycle to the middle of the launches, you get the best value for money!
And in 12 months with S11 coming, these phones will be sold 50 % from their value of today...if you buy every year the flagship from last year you save tons of money...do i really need the very last phone ? No. I just bought an S9 for 450 €, launching price 850 €...
Anyway for most people a 200 € Huawei Y9 2019 is more than enough...it is only marketing techniques to make people buy the latest most expensive phone...Silly us.
Anonymous, 23 Jan 2019phones like this are just horrible value. in 1y they'll cost 400E, and they don't even bring t... moreVery true Samsung trying to create fair value by increasing the prices mindlessly. People are already tired of mobiles. They can't spend a fortune for a mobile that gets outdated very shortly and that too with limited support and very limited in productivity.
Ahead, another year of reduced revenue and reduced profits on the cards....
With this ultra expensive pricing scheme, the S10 series are going to suffer the same fate as the iphone XS/XS Max/XR series.
AnonD-241270, 22 Jan 20192019 will have two injured companys ready to be burried, crApple and SammyCrappy.
GOODBYE J... moreSorry you can't even put those two in the same boat. And they are far from the only two.
And until these prices Sony and Google were more over priced.
Followed closely by LG even by using weak low end sensors.
How this pricing is ridiculous. But many of them have reached ridiculous. The only difference between them all is that Samsung is the one that spends the most in r n s, parts, and software, and offers the most the package and accessories for it.
But it's still just way too expensive.
Well.... i can say only 1 thing:
"What goes up... Must come down..."
there is an era for every company or business to rise and rule, then eventually they will fall.
this happened to Nokia before, when they ruled the mobile phone business worldwide, soon the journey of Apple and Samsung in the mobile business will come to an end... and other businesses will rise, simply: The Circle of Life.

GOODBYE J... moreI wish it happens sooner than later, you can't justify 1600 euros for a phone. Here in South Africa the iPhone xs max already costs 2500 usd, the s10+ will surely cost 3000-3200 approx. That is just ridiculous! The fruit might justify with their ecosystem, IOS and Shamesung???
With $2000 for 2TB storage. It is damn cheap when compared with 2TB macbook pro. Good job samsung in pricing.
Anonymous, 23 Jan 2019Samsung will still sell especially at lower price brackets.. Their A's and J's troop are stron... moreNo they're not. Samsung is just coasting with its brand as people buying Samsung because of the brand. In China and emerging markets, the likes of Oppo, Vivo, Huawei, Xiaomi, etc are killing Samsung.
