I hope this fixes the high image compression problem that plagued the whole 2011 Xperia lineup.

        [deleted post]Technically it's SE's fault.

Google just releases the source of ICS and manufacturers do the rest of them.

Love the ICS update that SE is working on. The look and fees seems to be much better than any of its competitors. Can't wait for the update to be launched officially!!!

could anyone tell my why the hell kernel version didn't change from gingerbread ever since? still ver 2.6? It should already be ver 3.0 on ICS instead.

I am glad they seem to be keeping the SE look. Google's ICS skin is soo ugly and dark and just looks like the obsession of some Tron-loving geek.

This is in alpha stage, so making a comment on it is a bit too early, still a few thing I'd like to mention here which I am not pleased with. They have just planted now very familiar ( read dated) Timescape UI throughout. Where is the cool unlock screen? everything looks the same, which is more of a letdown. In ICS, there are many cool new eye candies, which seems missing as they are masked by the Timescape UI. I think Sony Ericsson should welcome those new features and add them 'as they are' along with the Timescape, as new ICS has a very fresh interface. Dumping those features and cool effect would ruin the whole ICS experience, which although not make it completely pointless, as there are other major upgrades as well as the UI, but definitely make it less enjoyable.

Hope people are bearing in mind that the certification process takes longer than updating their software to run with ics. See the blog on developing it.
