Apple stole the whole full touchscreen idea from LG. They had their phone out first and announced before apple had even come close. By the way android was bought from another company who was already working on it way before apple as well. As typical apple users misguided and misinformed. Keep drinking the kool aid.

Google & all Android manufacturers should sue the rotten apple for copying Android's notification bar and banned all apple's product for good.
So how come Nokia is not getting sued, huh? My ole' Symbian phone does the exact same thing ("linkifying"), and I never saw that bother anyone?!?
HTC Android phones could be banned from the US next year .... COULD BE BUT WILL BE NOT....to change software will not take very long for manufacturer.
AND WHY GSMARENA IS STILL USING OLD HTC LOGO!!!??? It's like using rotten apple for iphone
Apple can do nothing!!! This is bollshit!!! HTC is out for years, and now are the top phones on the world! ;-)

ANd what about notification bar Of IOS, which originally feature of Android. I love coz of there devices, and hate apple coz of there lame sues against other companies.
Darkangels6sic6, 20 Dec 2011First off. I'm in the US.
Ok who the F*** keeps giving all these patents to APPLE!!?? You ca... more...and according to Samsung you can't use smileys because apparently they invented them and patented it :)
Now they are suing Apple over smileys in Germany, even though iOS doesn't use them.
Now that Apple has WON on this one they are free to hit Samsung back with it and hit them hard :p
Ok all this business of companies suing each other is just getting out of hand now, yeah i see what the deal is here, but like the article says "Apple cant sue Android" so does this mean they could go crazy and just go after Samsung, LG etc all other companies that use this feature in Android also???

Besides Apple and Nokia settled, Nokia is free to use some of Apple's patents, the "bounce back" one for instance.

They are suing Apple over this ":)".
Samsung invented the smiley.
:) :) :)
I hope they don't sue me.
molotofc, 20 Dec 2011BlackBerry also uses this feature, so sue them too?
The more of these I see, the more I dis... moreWhy bother?
RIM is almost dead, there's no point in suing them as their idiotic CEO's are removing Blackberry from the market anyway.
Anonymous, 20 Dec 2011What? Isn't those features already existed since the age of winmo? Apple is a total sh*t. Apple started work on this way back in the nineties, they were the first to come up with this idea, Rubin the founder of Android was working with the people who developed it at Apple.
It's obvious where it came from in Android, now that the stealing has been revealed it's time to pay the piper.
STOP NOW!, 20 Dec 2011I'm so sick and tired of this X sues Y and then Y sues X right back!!! In the end it is us the... moreIf Samsung had not taken the steps to fight back and counter sue then Apple possibly could've pulled them under all due to the fact that the competition of the Galaxy line is to great for Apple.
