A custom ROM can offer 10 times more than ICS. I don't understand why everybody want this ICS so badly.

Don't know what you are guys are so excited about.
Not saying about a very limited list of the devices to get the upgrade, but half a year to upgrade their flagman devices is an epic fail. You can produce a nice device but if you can not properly support it than eventually you gonna loose your customers.

Samsung has proved its critic right when it comes to supporting their products.
Galaxy S is identical hardware to Nexus S. Nexus S already has Android 4.
In fact they let their customers down with their flagship product, only one significant update to version 2.X and most of their updates were problematic.
The problem is they put so many products out there with no significant difference. I am sure they too lose track and do not care about customer experience.
This is it for me no more Samsung.

No galxy s update :( , i dont see any hardware difference between GOOGLE NEXUS S......They should feel ashamed. Than i will wait for normal, cracked ICS

I am from India and i dont think der will b much delay for us getting ICS ! Look at 2.3.6 update for note, its hardly 15 days delayed n already der in india and many other countries r yet to get !

Well its confirmed it will arrive. And by the 1st Quarter for EU countries. We in asia (philippines) we get it last, we are still on 2.3.4 i think, i dunno since ive flashed to EU already

khan, 20 Dec 2011what about galaxy s2 g version.the SGS2 G is I9100G. look at previous comment. I would imagine it would get the update as it is quite similar to the SGS2 just 3G speed and GPU are differen.t But I wouldn't see it as a problem to update that phone to ICS.
