Mr. T, 08 Feb 2019is this a marketing gimmick or vivo don't know how to make a bokeh shot using the 48 mp & ... moreyupp... hopefully multiple camera can support some sort of wide angle akin to Huawei, and that overexposed selfie camera in V9 is solved
Shanti Dope, 09 Feb 2019It's a Samsung Bright GM1 sensor, which isn't a true 48MP sensor anywayIf you don't know reserve you comment. GM1 is true 48MP 'capable' and can bin to produce 12MP shots @ 1.6 microns.. It is up to the SOC's ISP to effectively render or interpolate them..
Actually I like Vivo's solution to the selfie camera and notch issues... A slider phone is an over killed solution, and a punch hole has its own drawback.
Shanti Dope, 09 Feb 2019So it will take a 12MP image, interpolate it to 48MP, then reduce it again back to 12MP, and p... moreno , the sensor is 48 , will be taken 48 and saved 12 for better pic quality using mathemtical formula
Image Signal Processor: Qualcomm Spectra™ 250L image signal processor, 2x Image Signal Processor (ISP), 14-bit
Megapixel Support: Up to 48 MP snapshot, Up to 25 MP single camera, Up to 16 MP dual camera
Camera Features: High quality video capture with Motion Compensated Temporal Filtering, Accelerated Electronic Image Stabilization
Video Capture: Up to 4K video capture @ 30 FPS, Up to 1080p video capture @120 FPS
Video Playback: Up to 4K video playback
Codec Support: H.265 (HEVC), H.264 (AVC), VP8, VP9
if you read this now you are capable to understand that the cpu cant handle over 25mp that means you can only take photos up to 12mp
So it will take a 12MP image, interpolate it to 48MP, then reduce it again back to 12MP, and perform some image stacking?? Wow.
Lolll samsung co developed im dying here sony always innovates with their sensors and sony sensors are miles ahead of Samsung iso cell sony announce and Samsung probably copy
M33, 08 Feb 2019The year of 48MP48MP vs Nokia Penta-camera.. Can't wait.. So excited!
The last Oracle, 08 Feb 2019For those in doubt, there is probably no difference in quality between the Samsung 48MP sensor... moreISOCELL is crap compared to Sony sensors which 99% of smartphone brands are using it even samsung!... Sony camera sensors are #1 in smartphone industry, and it's the best!
The last Oracle, 08 Feb 2019For those in doubt, there is probably no difference in quality between the Samsung 48MP sensor... moreIt is not same sensor, it is same megapixel count and that means nothing on its own.
Sensor size and quality and size of a lens impact raw picture quality, after that it is all up to software.
But raw image quality is far more important then whatever software on its own could do, because everyone can shoot a raw image (that is if your camera software allows raw image to be saved, most phones compress them and you get much smaller file size but worse quality) and modify it afterwards with similar software like Photoshop etc and it will be far better than whatever your camera has as a preset setting.
Ever since Huawei put a high-res quad-bayer primary camera on their phone, it has become all the rage of new & upcoming phones. Goes to show Huawei knows what they're doing.
LG Superfan, 08 Feb 2019Which sensor will it use Samsung or Sony?Samsung gm1
But thus is just a leak it may be fake
For those in doubt, there is probably no difference in quality between the Samsung 48MP sensor and the Sony 48MP sensor. Samsung probably designed it and Sony is fabricating it for the most part (or its jointly developed), and that's why Both are making the same sensor.
